2013 NFL Mock Draft | 17-24
17 – PIT: Barkevious Mingo, OLB, LSU
Mingo ran an impressive unofficial 4.53 at the combine and he has the tools that will entice 3-4 defenses to look at him. The Steelers really need a replacement for James Harrison and Mingo might fit that need.
18 – DAL: Jonathan Cooper, OG, North Carolina
The Cowboys can’t overlook their offensive-line anymore. They need to give Tony Romo some time to throw because with time he is as good as anyone.
19 – NYG: Dion Jordan, DE, Oregon
Speedy, athletic, natural raw talent, etc., those are all attributes that the Giants love and they need a replacement for Osi and possibly a successor to Tuck. Jordan might be gone by this pick but if he is still available the Giants will snatch him up.
20 – CHI: D.J. Fluker, OT, Alabama
Another OT for Jay Cutler to scream at, Yay. But seriously the Bears offensive-line is one of the leagues worst and they need upgrades starting with Fluker.
21 – CIN: Manti Te’o, ILB, Notre Dame
4.82. That’s the big number everyone is looking at which is his 40 time. But apparently the Bengals have a thing for slow LBs (Maualuga, Burfict) and Te’o will fit right in. SI’s Peter King reported that Te’o will not drop past the Bengals pick at 21.
22 – STL: Keenan Allen, WR, California
Bradford’s go-to guy is a free-agent and his inability to stay healthy might force the Rams to let him go so they have to draft his replacement. Allen might be a top-20 pick but if he lasts he probably won’t pass the Rams pick.
23 – MIN: DeAndre Hopkins, WR, Clemson
Oft-injured Percy Harvin has one foot out of the door and even with him the Vikings passing-game is well below average. If Allen is gone the Vikings will seriously consider taking either Hopkins or Austin with this pick.
24 – IND: Desmond Trufant, CB, Washington
Trufant ran an unofficial 4.31 during the combine which all but solidified him as a 1st round pick. His solid combine will push him ahead of Banks on the Colts wish list.
