08/26/2011: Courtney Upshaw has both the size and the speed to play both Defensive end and Outside Linebacker. He not only would be a good fit in a 4-3 as a rush defensive end but a good fit as a 3-4 rush linebacker. You don’t see many rush linebackers these days that are 260 lbs that can move like Courtney Upshaw does. I think he is a lock to be in the first round of the 2012 NFL Draft because of his versatility. A team that needs a pass rush in any defensive scheme could use Courtney Upshaw right away. Look for him to be a good player and to potentially be a top 20 pick in the NFL Draft if he continues to succeed in the Alabama defense. Additionally if he works out well at the NFL Scouting Combine I could see him being a very high draft pick in the 2012 NFL Draft. Currently in my 2012 NFL Mock Draft I have him as a top 25 pick.
