1. St. Louis Rams: Alshon Jeffery, WR, S Carolina
St. Louis will look for their receiver a top the 2nd round. Jeffery should be a top 20 talent after a great pro day. He is a physical receiver with the ability to jump and attack the ball while it’s in the air.
2. Indianapolis Colts: Dre Kirkpatrick, CB, Alabama
If Jenkins is considered the better prospect, Kirkpatrick will slide to the 2nd round. He’s a big, physical corner, but lacks the elite speed. He gets burnt on occasion also.
3. Minnesota Vikings: Mohamed Sanu, WR, Rutgers
Sanu doesn’t have top line speed, but is a great possession receiver who will fight for the ball. He runs superior routes and will get open when Ponder gets in trouble.
4. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Doug Martin, RB, Boise State
Martin is the character RB this team needs. He put on a stellar show at the combine, proving to many he’s a true three down back in the NFL.
5. Cleveland Browns: Bobby Massie, R, Miss
If the Browns can grab Massie, they will keep Glenn at G and continue to build the rest of their team as the O line will be complete. Massie is a huge prospect with great power and agility.
6. Jacksonville Jaguars: Courtney Upshaw, DE, Alabama
With his oddball size and poor workouts, Upshaw may be passed on in the first round. He excels at pressuring the QB though, and thats what Jacksonville will look for.
7. St. Louis Rams: LaVonte David, LB, Nebraska
The Rams need a solid WLB. David has shown the ability to shed blocks, get fly to the ball.
8. Carolina Panthers: Jerel Worthy, DT, Michigan State
Worthy is a good talent. On tape he seems to run out of gas and rely on the guessing the snap count. However, his talent at hitting the gaps and standing up defenders will be a great value for Carolina.
9. Buffalo Bills: Josh Robinson, CB, USF
Robinson is a speedy player who can give a hit. He shadows receivers nicely and flips his hips well in coverage.
10. Miami Dolphins: Dwayne Allen, TE, Clemson
This offense will rely on a talented TE. Allen runs well downfield and has the ability to slide and get open in space. He will be the safety valve for Tannehill.
11. Seattle Seahawks: Kirk Cousins, QB, Michigan State
Seattle fans won’t be a huge fan of the pick, but Seattle tends to go best player available. Cousins is extremely accurate and can lead a team down the field efficiently. Should something happen to Flynn (plus he’s only signed for three years) Seattle will need quality backup play.
12. Kansas City Chiefs: Devon Still, DT/DE, Penn State
KC will capitalize on Still’s falling stock. Still will be a star in at the 5 technique. With a great initial burst, he’ll blast through gaps and be a phenomenal pass rusher.
13. Dallas Cowboys: Peter Konz, C, Wisconsin
Konz is the best center in the draft. Dallas has the one of the worst C’s in the NFL. The knock on Konz is strength. He played in a pro system soundly and handled and lineman in his way.
14. Jacksonville Jaguars (via PHI): Mike Adams, T, Ohio St
Whimper was horrible last year, and Bradfield hasn’t been tested. Thomas has had poor workouts, but has handled the best on tape. He provides valuable backup at LT and will be a very secure, protective RT.
15. New York Jets: Brian Quick, WR, Appa State
Quick is a very explosive, highly athletic, playmaker. New York wouldn’t pass up on his size and leaping ability.
