Tyler’s 2012 NFL Mock Draft | 21-32

2012 NFL Mock Draft picks 21-32

21.       Cincinnati Bengals: Mark Barron, S, Alabama

With Crocker gone, Cincy has a hole at SS. With a poor draft and free agent class, Barron will move to the top of the list. He’s a fierce hitter and rarely misses tackles. He will excel in zone coverage, but does project well in man due to his speed.

22.       Cleveland Browns: Cordy Glenn, G/T, Georgia

Cleveland is dedicated to McCoy for at least another year and will look to land weapons around him or his replacement. With holes at G and T, Glenn is a perfect fit either way. He’s establishing himself as a top guard with his power and balance. His experience on the outside with workouts showing great footwork and explosion may sit him at RT.

23.       Detroit Lions: Janoris Jenkins, CB, N Alabama

Undeniably the best player available that fills a Detroit need. Detroit claims they will not shy from players using pot and will focus on talent. Jenkins is a top talent who can hit and cover. He is an elite prospect with fluid hips and a great break on the ball.

24.       Pittsburgh Steelers: Jonathan Martin, T, Stanford

Martin had a decent pro day. He proved his consideration for the first round. Martin has shown the ability to play left tackle. With Haley as the OC, he can be developed into a solid LT as plays and help will be provided around Martin.

25.       Denver Broncos: Kendall Reyes, DT, UCONN

The Broncos officially have no DT on the roster with pass rushing capability. Bannon is a temporary signing to have some sort of run stuffer in the middle. Reyes is the elite pass rusher of the available DT’s in the draft. He shows a quick burst and good leverage, hitting gaps with great speed.

26.       Houston Texans: Donta Hightower, ILB, Alabama

With Ryans out, Houston will not hesitate to find a mobile, big play, team leading ILB. Hightower has experience in the 34, and with this young emerging defense, will be the centerpiece for years. He has a big frame that combined with his knowledge and ability, will make Hightower the best 34 ILB in the draft.

27.       New England Patriots: Chandler Jones, DE/LB, Syracuse

It’s no secret the Pats intend to use their draft to improve their D. Jones may not be the best player available, but he is shooting up boards and may not make it out of the 1st round. Jones plays quick, using an explosive burst and energy. He is very athletic and while needing to add some bulk for the position in NE, will still be a very serviceable starter.

28.       Green Bay Packers: Shea McClellin, LB, Boise St

McClellin may not be the best player left, but its rumored GB is touting him highly. McClellin shows great speed and range. He has picked up the LB position quickly and is impressing scouts with his football smarts and athletic ability.

29.      Baltimore Ravens: Reuben Randle, WR, LSU

Baltimore is showing holes on D, but without quality WR help, the offense will sputter. Randle is a smooth route runner with excellent hands. His vast improved 40 at his pro day, combined with his size, will warrant 1st round consideration. At 6’3”+, Randle will provide a nice target for Flacco.

30.     San Francisco 49ers: Kevin Zeitler, G, Wisconsin

Zeitler is rapidly moving up the boards. With few holes to fill, SF will not hesitate to draft a G that can excel in their system. Zeitler has been a talented G on one of the best lines in the nation. He is very mobile, displays great strength, and has a mean streak when run blocking. He may be better suited at LG, moving Iupati to the right side.

31.   New England Patriots: Michael Brockers, DT/DE, LSU

Brockers has hurt his draft stock showing lumbering movements and poor agility.  It doesn’t help that LSU has a poor track records with DT’s.  His sheer size, frame, and explosiveness will keep him in the first round.  New England needs to revive their 34 D, and Brockers can rotate inside and outside.

32.   New York Giants: Coby Fleener, TE, Stanford

The Giants will go best player available. Reyes is a very explosive DT who plays well in the gaps. He is an elite pass rusher and will give the Giants another option between the talented ends.
