Tyler’s 2012 NFL Mock Draft | 11-20

2012 NFL Mock Draft picks 11-20

11.       Kansas City Chiefs: Riley Reiff, T, Iowa

KC gets one of the better players on the board. Albert does a great job at LT, but is a natural guard. Reiff is a natural LT, but excel better at the G position. The Chiefs can mix and match their line to find the best spot for both players.

12.       Seattle Seahawks: Quinton Coples, DE, North Carolina

Coples may be the best DE in the draft. Recently he admitted to giving a “c” effort during his Sr. year. He will need to be selected by a solid team with veteran leadership. Coples is a massive DE with great speed and strength. Not many tackles can handle his skill level. His ability to play in or outside will make him very attractive to Seattle even after signing Jones.

13.       Arizona Cardinals: Melvin Ingram, LB, S Carolina

Ingram is a gifted pass rusher but lacks an ideal NFL frame. His measurables are off the chart displaying speed, power, and agility. The Cards have several holes to fill, but a pass rusher opposite of Acho is a must.

14.       Dallas Cowboys: Dontari Poe, NT, Memphis

Poe is workout warrior, impressing more than any athlete at the combine. Teams that need him are very leary of him due to the competition he faced. Shouldn’t a premier DT, with all that upside, have dominated the small school ranks? Fact is, a team can’t ignore the combine. At 340+ Poe displays amazing speed, strength, and agility and reminds many of the highly coveted Ngata. He will fit will in this D and Ratliff can move to the outside, solving two problems with one pick.

15.       Jacksonville Jaguars via PHI trade: Kendall Wright, WR, Baylor

Mularkey needs a receiver to fit his system. He has excelled coaching WR’s like Hines Ward and Randel El. Gabbert needs as much help as possible, and Wright has the versatility to line up anywhere on the field. Wright has great hands but can be used on end arounds, sweeps, and a variety of trick plays. He’ll give opposing D’s headaches and will take the heat not only off of Gabbert, but Jones Drew as well.

16.       New York Jets: Whitney Mercilus, LB, Illinois

The Jets will need to bolster their pass rush, especially with the top receivers off the board. Mercilus won the Hendricks award for being the best. He uses great speed and athleticism to get to the QB and shows a knack for creating fumbles.

17.       Cincinnati Bengals VIA Oakland: Stephen Hill, WR, Georgia Tech

Cincy will need firepower in their receiving corps. Hill has shown the size, hands, and speed to be a very exceptional wideout. By going to Cincy, he’ll be asked to go over the middle and run the deep routes as he develops into a route runner who will work the lines. With Green as the #1, Green will be brought along easily.

18.       San Diego Chargers: David DeCastro, G, Stanford

DeCastro is the most NFL ready guard in the draft. He blocks with excellent tenacity along the line, using his strength to push the pile. Quick footwork and a good punch are great traits for DeCastro in the passing game.

19.       Chicago Bears: Nick Perry, DE, USC

It’s rumored the Bears will look to the top D lineman available. Perry is back to rising on the draft boards after an excellent workout. He is a great straight line pass rusher with decent power.

20.       Tennessee Titans: Stephon Gilmore, CB, S Carolina

Gilmore is shooting up the boards as the 2nd best corner. He has great size and speed. Gilmore plays very fluid and is not shy about playing physical with the receivers.
