2011 NFL Mock Draft #1 CB

It’s pretty safe to say that Nate Clements has not lived up to the expectations ever since joining the 49ers. Outside of Quarterback, Cornerback is the next biggest hole for the 49ers and the biggest need in this 2011 NFL Mock Draft.

Patrick Peterson is the top rated CB in this 2011 NFL Mock Draft. Another option at the CB position for the 49ers with this pick would be Prince Amukamara. There are a lot of NFL Teams that could take Peterson in the top 5 of this NFL Mock Draft. However with this mock draft I have them taking Patrick Peterson.

Based on new head coach Jim Harbaugh’s offensive background, and success in the NFL as a Quarterback, along with his success with Andrew Luck at Stanford, it could be a real possibility to see one of the quarterbacks come off of the board here as well. However, there just does not seem to be a quarterback worth taking this early in this 2011 NFL Mock Draft. In addition it appears as Harbaugh has reached out to current starter Alex Smith and looks as if he is committed to having him reach his full potential in the NFL.
