6. Cleveland Browns (2011 NFL Mock Draft)

Julio Jones, WR, Alabama

2011 NFL Mock Draft #2 WR

Julio Jones

Unfortunately for the Browns, the two players who would have been ideal picks in AJ Green (2011 NFL Mock Draft #1 WR), and Von Miller (2011 NFL Mock Draft #1 OLB) are already off the board. In this case they’ll opt to go with the next best wide receiver available in Julio Jones.

Julio Jones is a very big, physical wide receiver – something that the Browns offense lacks on the outside. He would be a welcome addition to a very average wide receiver group, and a very below average passing game. Jones may be considered a bit of a “reach” in this situation, but Browns new head coach Pat Shurmur knows the importance of having a true number one wide receiver, and Jones has all of the tools to develop into one at the next level.

After switching to a 4-3 defense, any defensive position is up for grabs. Keep an eye out for defensive end or tackle and the club has just released massive nose tackle Shaun Rogers. I think with Shurmur’s offensive background an offensive playmaker will be selected. The best selection in this 2011 NFL Mock Draft is Julio Jones who I have them selecting in this mock draft.
