John David Booty: 2008 NFL Draft Updates

John David Booty is a senior QB out of USC. When Matt Leinart graduated and went to the Cardinals (who is now injurder) John David Booty took the helm.  As a sophomore Booty got minimal playing time throwing for just over 300 yards 3 Td’s and 2 interceptions. In 2006 John David Booty came out to be one of the elite QB’s in the country throwing for 3,347 yards with 29 touchdowns and only 9 interceptions.  After last year Booty was atop the list of QB’s and prospects for the NFL with a good frame standing at 6’3″ and 215 lbs.  This year he has been free falling having a 12:8 TD to interception ratio which is much worst than last year.  Also with yards he is on the lower end having 1,240 yards so far this year. Due to this decline Booty has dropped out of my top QB’s as well as pretty much everyone elses as well.  This year I think Booty will  definately get drafted because the need for QB’s is huge in the up and coming year but I would look for him to go late first day or early second day.  As of now he is not in my first round but I will be creating a multiple round draft in the future.  To view my first mock draft go to http://newnfldraft.com
