16. New England Patriots Via OAK: Lamar Miller, RB, Miami
NE can’t pass on Miller. He has the size to be a short yardage back since BJGE has left. Also, he has blazing speed and is very elusive. He can be developed in NE to acquire blocking and receiving skills and could be an all pro caliber back.
17. San Diego Chargers: Vinny Curry, LB, Marshall
English should be traded to a 43 team. The Chargers are in a win now mode and will need to fix as many holes on their porous D as possible. Curry displayed talent at the LB position and is a phenomenal pass rusher. He has improved his strength and added weight for his pro day all while maintaining his speed.
18. Chicago Bears: Kelechi Osemele, G, Iowa St
Worthy is a first round talent, but will drop due to his negatives. He doesn’t explode off the ball well and needs conditioning. When healthy and running full steam, he is a viable disruptor on the line. He has a natural quickness when timing the snap count, and plays very balanced along the line.
19. Philadelphia Eagles via AZ: Derek Wolfe, DT, Cin
Wolf e is the tweener that Philly covets. He is fast and shows a quick burst. He stays with the plays, taking angles to get to the ball carrier down field.
20. Tennessee Titans: Andre Branch, DE, Clemson
Branch doesn’t have much skill other than a straight line to a QB. However, his speed alone is worth a look in Tennessee. Branch has an extreme burst and will be difficult for tackles to keep control of.
21. Cincinnati Bengals: Chris Rainey, RB, Florida
Cincy has a very solid team. With Rainey’s ability and speed someone will roll the dice on his durability concerns. If healthy, he can be the scat back that will set this offense up. Also, he is almost untouchable in the return game.
22. Detroit Lions: Harrison Smith, SS, Notre Dame
Spievey is torched too many times. In this new, pass first division, the Lions will need to boost their secondary to contain the Bears and Packers. Smith is a solid SS who is gifted athletically. He is an in the box defender who plays extremely well with the ball in front of him.
23. Atlanta Falcons: Bobby Wagner, LB, Utah St
With Lofton gone, Atlanta will have to ensure they have a stable thumper in the middle. Wagner is very fast and is a sure tackler.
24. Pittsburgh Steelers: Brandon Thompson, NT, Clemson
Thompson projects well as a NT in the NFL. He is a very stout defender who stands up the offensive lineman. Thompson shows great leverage and displays bursts on occasion to get to the QB.
25. Denver Broncos: David Wilson, RB, Va Tech
James is a speedster who can catch out of the backfield or hit the outside on the Manning’s favorite stretch play. He will be asked to split carries and will be more of a situational scat back.
26. Houston Texans: Zebrie Sanders, T, Florida
After releasing Winston, the Texans will need a RT. Sanders is a wide body with decent footwork. He has the strength to move the pile and fits well in this zone blocking scheme.
27. New Orleans: Forfeited
Bounty Gate.
28. Green Bay Packers: Alfonzo Dennard, CB, Nebraska
Dennard is the most physical corner in the draft. He has great film but has done nothing to help since the season ended. He possesses a stout size and flips his hips well to turn into coverage.
29. Baltimore Ravens: Amini Silatolu, G, Midwester St
Silatolu is a versatile player who displays great footwork and sound blocking skills. He can develop into a LT or play either G position with ease.
30. San Francisco 49ers: Jared Crick, DE, Nebraska
Crick is one of the more dominant DT’s in the draft. Due to injuries, including a torn pec, first round consideration will escape him. With few holes, the Niners can pick up Crick here and he will be a valuable rotational player and Smiths eventual replacement.
31. New England Patriots: Jamell Fleming, CB, OU
.
32. New York Giants: Mitchell Schwartz, T, Cal
He handled most pass rushers and is a tenacious run blocker.
