Santos’ 2012 NFL Mock Draft | 11-21

11.

Kansas City Chiefs

NT, OLB, OG, FB,

NT Dontari Poe – Memphis

Dontari Poe lit up the Combine in Indy this year, his athleticism has a lot of teams intrigued and he will be a plug in starter for the Chiefs who have a young defense who has a lot to learn and grow into still. Definitely a Romeo Crennel pick.

12.

Seattle Seahawks

LB, DE, DT, CB, OL

DE Melvin Ingram – South Carolina

Ingram is a pure pass rusher and the Hawks’ could definitely use his talents. Adding more ammo to their defensive line they could be a big threat in the NFC West.

13.

Arizona Cardinals

OL, WR, ILB, CB, DL

WR Michael Floyd – Notre Dame

Fitzgerald has recently said he wants Floyd on this team, he is looking for less attraction from defenses. Floyd is a talented WR and some have him ranked as the top WR, nonetheless the Cards fill a need and get another threat for whatever QB is playing in Arizona.

14.

Dallas Cowboys

S, CB, C, G, DE, DT

SS Mark Barron – Alabama

It seems like whatever pick the Cowboys take the Eagles could also take. Whether this is Brockers or Barron they serve big needs for both teams. I think Jerry would like another safety, where they have been thin since Darren Woodson left.

15.

Philadelphia Eagles

ILB, OLB, S, WR, QB

DT Michael Brockers – LSU

The Eagles have a lot of needs on the defensive side just like the Cowboys, this pick will help solidify their D-Line but they also need help on the back side of the field in LB and Safety positions. Brockers is a solid pick and will bloom with Cullen Jenkins.

16.

New York Jets

OL, DL, S, OLB, RB

OT Riley Reiff – Iowa

The Jets have been looking for a complement to D’Brickashaw Ferguson on the opposite side of the O-Line and Reiff is a pure RT, this might not be a sexy pick by Rex and Tannenbaum but it serves a big need for this team.

17.

Cincinnati Bengals *

S, RB, WR, G, CB

G David DeCastro – Stanford

The Bengals added both Travelle Wharton and Jacob Bell this offseason in Free Agency but I believe they’d rather have a young talent at the Guard position. DeCastro could also play Center if this team decides to move him.

18.

San Diego Chargers

S, OT, WR, CB, DL

G/T Cordy Glenn – Georgia

The Chargers desperately need help at the tackle position, after cutting McNeill and resigning Gaither they still have holes on their O-Line, Glenn is an Offensive Linemen, he can play almost anywhere and the Chargers will appreciate that.

19.

Chicago Bears

WR, DE, LB, CB, OL

OT Mike Adams – Ohio State

The Bears have a good defense; they know they need help on offense, part of that is helping QB Jay Cutler. The Bears really need to help themselves, they have begun making the necessary pieces and OT’s usually flood off the board early.

20.

Tennessee Titans

DT, ILB, G, WR, RB

DE Quinton Coples – North Carolina

Coples was a top ten talent as some point in mock drafts. His athleticism is there he just simply lacks the effort. I believe the kid is past that and is ready to work, the Titans get a good pass rusher alongside Kamerion Wimbley and serves a big need in the AFC South.

21.

Cincinnati Bengals

RB, WR, S, CB, DL

CB Dre Kirkpatrick – Alabama

The Bengals also added a number of CB’s and retained Pacman Jones, unless a guy like Terrence Newman gets moved to Safety, the team will have a lot of options at CB and would hate to have to let one go and blossom somewhere else.
