22) St. Louis Rams – Eddie Lacy RB, Alabama
With S-JAX moving over to Atlanta the Rams take a cow bell back to replace him. At 5’11" 221 lbs w/ a helluva spin move & can shred tackles. Perfect for Jeff Fisher’s smash mouth football. Finished 2012 strong w/ 181 yards on 20 carries & 2 td’s against Georgia is SEC title game. Had 140 yards on 20 carries against Notre Dame in BCS championship game win. Had 17 td’s on only 204 carries & averaged 6.5 yards per carry in 2012.
23) Minnesota Vikings – Tavon Austin WR, West Virginia
The Vikes grab a replacement for the departed Percy Harvin. Austin burst on to the scene w/ his 572 all purpose yards performance against Oklahoma. Had 112 receptions & 12 td’s plus had 73 carries for 652 yards in 2012. Could be a superstar slot receiver. Small at 5’8" 176 lbs. Electrifying still the same.
24) Indianapolis Colts – John Jenkins DT/NT, Georgia
The Colts need a NT for HC Pagano’s D. At 6’3" 346 lbs he’ll put a good clog in the middle of DL for years to come. Very agile for his size. Ideal for Colts 34 scheme.
25) Minnesota Vikings (via sea) – Kawann Short DT, Purdue
The Vikes are thin at DT. Short is the latest in a long line of quality DL coming out of Purdue. At 6’3" 308 lbs he’ll fit right in with the Vikes D scheme. Had 43 tackles, 15.5 TFL, 7 sacks & 4 blocked kicks in 2012.
26) Green Bay Packers – Tyler Eifert TE, Notre Dame
With Finley possibly leaving the Pack takes his replacement. At 6’6" 250 lbs will be a nice toy for QB Rodgers. Also a good security blanket. Was a big weapon in ND’s offense in 2012.
27) Houston Texans – Keenan Allen WR, California
The Texans finally get a running partner for Andre Johnson. At 6’2" 206 lbs w/ good hands & deceiving speed. Also runs good routes & isn’t afraid to go over middle.
28) Denver Broncos – Sylvester Williams DT, North Carolina
HC John Fox likes his DL. At 6’3" 313 lbs he’ll be a good DT in the Broncos 43 defense. A 3 year starter at Chapel Hill.
29) New England Patriots – Jesse Williams DT/NT, Alabama
The Pats need a new NT. Vince Wolfolk will be 34 years old. At 6’3" 323 lbs w/ good quickness will be able to stop the run & get to QB.
30) Atlanta Falcons – Datone Jones DE, UCLA
The Falcons need a DE even with brining in Osi. At 6’4" 280 lbs has the size to go w/ speed. Had 62 tackles, 5.5 sacks & 19 TFL in 2012. Has the strength to push OL out of the way & the speed to close quickly on QB.
31) San Francisco 49’ers – Jonathan Cooper G/C, North Carolina
The Niners grab some great depth for OL. Their pretty good at G but C is 34 years old. I’m not as big as some on him but is easily BPA. He lands in the Niners lap. At 6’3" 311 lbs & can play multiple positions on OL. The rich get richer.
32) Baltimore Ravens – Kevin Minter ILB, LSU
The Ravens get a replacement for HOF LB Ray Lewis. Plays sideline to sideline w/ a big motor. A tackling machine who had 20 tackles against Florida & 19 tackles against Clemson in bowl loss. Had 130 tackles in 2012. 6′ 246 lbs..
