2012 NFL Mock Draft Pick | 25-32

25. Denver Broncos: Devon Still, DE/DT, PSU

2012 NFL Mock Draft Defensive Tackle

Devon Still is a good fit for the Broncos and their scheme. They have the top tier pass rushers in place at this point. So they go with Still to help on the inside against the run and clog up the middle. There are a couple of good analysts that Still as their top Defensive Tackle ranked in this 2012 NFL Mock draft.

26. Houston Texans: Alshon Jeffery, WR, South Carolina

2012 NFL Mock Draft Wide Receiver

The Texans have a very good defense already so I have them going to the offensive side of the ball with this 2012 NFL Draft pick. Alshon Jeffery is on some boards a top 10 selection but I think he is a late first round pick. The reason being is he came in smaller than projected height wise and on tape he hasn’t really shown that he can separate from defensive backs. I think he is still a good WR and he catches the ball in crowds much like another WR I like in Mohamed Sanu. With that being said he is not going to be drawing a lot of coverage with Andre Johnson playing opposite him in this offense so I think he would be a good selection for the Houston Texans. Other options would be Reuben Randle or Mohamed Sanu with this pick.

27. New England Patriots (NO): Mark Barron, SS, Bama

2012 NFL Mock Draft Outside Linebackers

The Patriots need to continue to work on their defense in this 2012 NFL Mock Draft. So the Patriots get a good young Safety with their first pick in round 1.

28. Green Bay Packers: Andre Branch, DE, Clemson

2012 NFL Mock Draft Outside Linebacker

It looks like Branch is going to end up being a 3-4 pass rusher at the next level. I wouldn’t be shocked if he was selecting by a 4-3 team that wanted to use him strictly in a pass rushing role early on in his career. But if he is going to be a first round selection you will want the player to be an every down back. For Branch to be that he will need to be a 3-4 OLB in my opinion.

29. Baltimore Ravens:  Dont’a Hightower, ILB, ‘Bama

2012 NFL Mock Draft #2 ILB

The Ravens lose Ben Grubbs and could go interior offensive line with this pick. However, there is a pretty good versatile ILB available with this selection. Ray Lewis can’t play forever and Hightower would be a good replacement for him.

30. San Francisco 49ers:  Peter Konz, C/G, Wisconsin

2012 NFL Mock Draft Center Guard

The 49ers could use another WR with this selection in case Moss and Crabtree don’t pan out. With that being said I think they could also use help on the offensive line with a player like Konz.

31. New England Patriots: Whitney Mercilus, DE/OLB, Illinois

2012 NFL Mock Draft Defensive End

The Patriots seem like they are going to lose a lot of their top pass rushers from last year. They could also use help at their CB position with this selection in the 2012 NFL Mock Draft. I could see them going Janoris Jenkins with this pick if they are comfortable with his off the field problems. However, I don’t believe they will be and I think that Mercilus is a more viable option with this pick.

32. New York Giants: Mike Adams, OT, Ohio State

2012 NFL Mock Draft Offensive Tackle

The New York Giants are World Champions! With that being said they have quite a few injured Tight Ends on their roster currently. However, it seems as though they have addressed the Tight End position with Bennett. So I have them upgrading the offensive line and hoping Mike Adams can come in and anchor one of the Tackle positions right away.
