Last night Boston College (2) played Virginia Tech (8) and it was one for the story books. Matt Ryan the QB that was atop the heismann boards and draft boards for QB struggled. I was watching the game and he was continually overthrowing receivers and throwing to no one. As well as overthrowing receivers Ryan also found Virginia Tech secondary a couple times and threw 2 interceptions. He continually struggled the entire game and in all but the last 2 minutes he completed less than 50% of his passes threw two interceptions and his team was losing by 10. Ryan then turned his game around and led a 92 yard drive throwing for 81 yards and running for 11 ending with a 16 yard pass to Rich Gunnell with 2:11 left. Boston College then recovered an onside kick and Ryan got the ball back in his hands. He finished off the drive in the last :11 by throwing an amazing pass while running to the left and throwing to the right 24 yards to Andre Callender for the win. Ryan looked really bad during the game and I believe that he will drop in the Heisman race as well as his draft ranking will drop as well. However, even as bad as he played by only completing 25-52 passes and 285 yards he led the team at the end of the game to the victory. Continue to watch Ryan and see if he learned from his mistakes tonight, he still could be the number one QB taken in the draft.
