2014 NFL Mock Draft Picks 6-10 by Ian.
6) Atlanta Falcons – Jake Matthews OT Texas A&M.
The Falcons have been making due
with an average offensive line for a few years, but keeping Matt Ryan upright needs
to be a priority for the Falcons. After an upgrade to the offensive line, Atlanta can
look to the defense to fix the problems that held this team back last year, besides .
7) Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Kony Ealy DE Missouri.
Ealy is a versatile pass rusher and his stock is rising. The Bucs have a need at DE and Ealy is one of my top prospects
on the board, seems like a good fit.
8) . Minnesota Vikings – Derek Carr QB Fresno State.
How many different starting QBs
did the Vikings burn through last year? Ponder, Freeman, and Cassel all had their
chances to solidify themselves as the starter in Minnesota but Freeman looked
horrible on the field, Cassel opted out of his deal and Ponder has been average. Carr
brings a strong arm and some good tools, lets just hope he doesn’t end up as a
career backup like someone else he shares a last name with.
9) Buffalo Bills – Greg Robinson OT Auburn.
Robinson is a steal at 9, he is a mauler in
the running game and will fit in at RT for the Bills. He has the skills to eventually play
LT if the Bills want to move him there eventually.
10) Detroit Lions – Darqueze Dennard CB Michigan State.
The Lions defense needs
some help, and playing in the same division as Aaron Rodgers and a pass happy
Bears team featuring Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffery. The Lions could stay in
state with this pick and take the top DB in this class.
