Desean Jackson is a junior out of California that is looking to be one of the top receivers in the draft. He is a small receiver at only 5’11” and 170 lbs. His freshman year Desean Jackson had an immediate impact bringing in 28 catches for 601 yards. In his freshman campaign Jackson also added 6 Td’s. Last year he continued to be succesfull and he brought in 59 catches for 1,060 yards and 9 Td’s. This year Jackson has been doing well again but he is not having a great year. Jackson only has 453 yards and 4 Td’s as well as a decrease in his average from 18 yards a catch last year to only 11 this year. Desean Jackson is considered to be a small speedy receiver much like Tedd Ginn Jr. and that is why I am skeptical about how he will do in the NFL. The number one receiver this year in the Draft is still up in the air so Jackson could very well be the first one taken. The top runners for first receivers in the 2008 NFL Draft are the Cowboys, Buccaneers, Jaguars, Titans, and 49ers.
