Blake’s 2012 NFL Mock Draft | 11-21

11.       Kansas City Chiefs: Melvin Ingram, LB/DE, S Carolina

Reasoning: The Chiefs are one of the most complete teams in the league, adding a great phenom, In my opinion on their defensive line will complete this defense, all they really need now in an upgrade at quarterback and they can win this division and possibly make a decent run in the playoffs.

12.       Seattle Seahawks: Luke Kuechly, ILB, Boston College

Reasoning: The Seahawks lost Leroy Hill and David Hawthorne, they will need linebackers and right away if they want to compete in this division.

13.       Arizona Cardinals: David DeCastro, G, Stanford

Reasoning: The Cardinals lost out on Manning, So they picked up Kolb's option, They're going to need to protect them if they want to keep him healthy this year.

14.       Dallas Cowboys: Mark Barron, S, Alabama

Reasoning: The Cowboys helped their secondary big time by signing Brandon Carr and they also solidified the middle by signing run stopper Dan Connor, and to make sure they have a good secondary which they have needed for a while the will take Mark Barron.

15.       Philadelphia Eagles: Dre Kirkpatrick, CB, Alabama

Reasoning: The Eagles did trade for Demeco Ryans to shore up the middle and they did resign Derek Landri but the eagles need to solidify the middle, its still weak and the eagles love defensive line depth especially with no certainty if Mike Patterson can make a full recovery after his seizure last season, but this Defensive Tackle depth is really deep in this draft, the eagles are trying their hardest to shop Asante Samuels and get rid of him, Dre Kirkpatrick can play slot and is a press corner which the Eagles love, who can take over DRC or Nnami which ever goes first (DRC if his poor play continues) (Nnamdi by the way of retirement).

16.       New York Jets: Courtney Upshaw, OLB/DE, Alabama

Reasoning: The Jets desperately need a pass rush, their top rusher and most consistent in getting to the Quarterback was Aaron Maybin, that explains a lot and if they want to compete in the AFC East with the Tom Brady led Patriots, the newly built Bills, they need to build a good defense with a consistent pass rush.

17.       Cincinnati Bengals: Riley Reiff, OT/G, Iowa

Reasoning: The Bengals Offensive Line was mediocre last season and with Riley Reiff slipping to them at 17, they would be stupid to pass up in him, they will give Andy Dalton the time he needs, to even better his rookie year which was genius.

18.       San Diego Chargers: Quinton Coples, DE, UNC

Reasoning: Yes, they did sign a pass rusher in Jarrett Johnson, but he rarely gets to the Quarterback Quinton Coples this late in the first round could be a steal and he is also somewhat consistent in getting to the quarterback.

19.       Chicago Bears: Peter Konz, C, Wisconsin

Reasoning: The Bears basically stole Brandon Marshall from the Dolphins, reuniting Marshall and Cutler, giving Cutler a number one receiver that he has long needed. Jay Cutler was hit so many times, sacked so many times, and the bears have possibly the worst center in the league, Jay Cutler will be begging and praying the bears take an offensive lineman.

20.       Tennessee Titans: Chandler Jones, DE/OLB, Syracuse

Reasoning: Titans pass rush was horrible, they need pass rush if they want to compete with a division with Andrew Luck, and Matt Schaub, Chandler Jones will be great in my opinion.

21.       Cincinnati Bengals: Kendall Wright, WR, Baylor

Reasoning: The Bengals need a wide receiver to pair up with rookie Phenom A.J. Green, Kendall Wright can spread the field and has Desean Jackson speed and with the 21st pick this could be an absolute steal for the Bengals.
