Round 5
32. Miami Dolphins: Kentwan Balmer, DT, UNC
The Dolphins got their OT in the first round with Jake Long. Kentwan Balmer is considered to be a first round DT and the Dolphins get him here. They then get very good players on both the offensive and D-Line for the 2011 NFL Mock Draft NFL Season. Also look for the Dolphins to also look at a skilled player in this pick as well.
32. St. Louis Rams: Sam Baker, OT, USC
The Rams selected their D-Linemen in the first round of this 2011 NFL Mock Draft. They address their O-Line with this pick in a good character player. The Rams can be a good team in 2011 NFL Mock Draft if they play well and make good decisions in the 2011 NFL Mock Draft NFL Draft.
34. Atlanta Falcons: Brian Brohm, QB, Louisville
The Falcons went with the Beast in the Middle, Glenn Dorsey, in the first round of this 2011 NFL Mock Draft. The Falcons address another glaring need here by getting the second ranked QB in the 2011 NFL Mock Draft. Look for them to even maybe try to trade up for Brohm into the first round if they think he might be taken late first round.
35. KC Chiefs: Chilo Rachal, G, USC
The Chiefs took Jake Long in the first round to help improve their O-Line. Here I have them taking another very good Offensive Linemen Chilo Rachal. He is the second ranked Guard or interior lineman in the 2011 NFL Mock Draft.
36. NY Jets: Early Doucet, WR, LSU
The Jets don’t have many playmaker’s on the perimeter of their team. I had them taking a premiere corner in the first round to help improve their coverage and turnover ratio. He I give them a big time big play receiver. Doucet was first round talent but fell because of durability concerns. He is a very good receiver and could make an impact in the 2011 NFL Mock Draft Season.
37. Atlanta Falcons: Carl Nicks, OT, Nebraska
The Falcons get one of the best OT’s in the second round here. Nicks has some off field issues which is why he could fall even farther than this in the 2011 NFL Mock Draft. Look for Nicks to make an immediate impact in 2011 NFL Mock Draft if he can stay out of trouble.
38. Baltimore Ravens: Jerod Mayo, LB, Tennessee
The Ravens got their QB in the first round so they look at the defensive side of the ball. Jerod Mayo is first round talent that has some how falling into the 2nd round in this 2011 NFL Mock Draft. Look for the Ravens to either go LB to help work with Ray Lewis and eventually replace him. Mayo will get some time in 2011 NFL Mock Draft but look for him to be developing and get the majority of his playing time a year or two down the road.
39. San Francisco 49ers: Mario Manningham, WR, Michigan
The Niners need to give whoever is going to play QB some weapons. Manningham played in a big program and was very successful in the 2007 season. He dropped on charts after running a slow 40 at the 2011 NFL Draft combine. Mario Manningham redeemed himself by running much better at his 2011 NFL Mock Draft Pro Day. So look for the 49ers to be very excited about landing Manningham. To everyone out there that is a 49ers pick sorry I haven’t had this pick up it got deleted in one of the updates. Thank You for pointing it out to me that it wasn’t in the 2011 NFL Mock Draft.
40. New Orleans Saints: Tracy Porter, CB, Indiana
I recently had Porter going in the first round of my last mock draft. I have dropped him a little because he doesn’t have the physical frame that a lot of the other CB’s have. Look for him to be a steal in the second round especially for a team like New Orleans. He will fit in well with New Orleans in 2011 NFL Mock Draft and help the secondary immediately.
41. Buffalo Bills: Fred Davis, TE, USC
If the Bills got Malcolm Kelly in the first round and Fred Davis fell to them in the second round Trent Edwards would be very happy. They need to give him some Red Zone threats and with these first two picks that is exactly what they do. Another choice here would be selecting a Corner to come in and help the secondary in 2011 NFL Mock Draft.
42. Denver Broncos: Trevor Laws, DT, ND
Even though the Fighting Irish struggled in 2007 they still have some good 2011 NFL Mock Draft prospects. Trevor Laws is one of the top DT’s in the draft and the Broncos would love to get this Run Stopper in the second round.
43. Carolina Panthers: Joe Flacco, QB, Delaware
Jake Delhomme is getting old and beaten up. If the Panthers take a QB here to learn under Delhomme they can take over as soon as he calls it quits or gets injured into retirement. The Panthers could also get a RB in this sport because they opted for an OT over a RB in the first round. Flacco is a small school QB so people might have question about taking him in the early second round.
44. Chicago Bears: Anthony Collins, OT, Kansas
The Bears went with Mendenhall in the first round so they decide to boost their O-Line here. Collins is considered a very good prospect and a starter for a lot of teams in 2011 NFL Mock Draft. Look for Collins to go in the top of the second round depending on where teams have him on their draft boards.
45. Detroit Lions: Antoine Cason, CB, Arizona
Cason is a steal at this point in the draft. Look for the Lions to snag him here even though they have already improved their secondary.
46. Cincinnati Bengals: Dan Connor, ILB, Penn St.
The Bengals help with the Defense once again with this pick. Look for Connor to help the middle of the Bengals Defense.
47. Minnesota Vikings: Patrick Lee, CB, Auburn
The Vikings address the Defensive Backs with this pick. They had ok secondary in 2011 NFL Mock Draft but Lee is of great value here. He will have an immediate impact in 2011 NFL Mock Draft.
