2012 NFL Mock Draft Picks 22-32 by Justin
22. Cleveland Browns: Kendall Wright, WR, Baylor
The luxury of having two picks in the first round. He may be small but boy is he talented and versatile. He’s a young Steve Smith . Too bad the Browns still don’t have a QB to throw him the ball but Wright is fast enough to even catch some of McCoy’s poor throws.
23. Detroit Lions: Kevin Zeitler, G, Wisconsin
*Trade Spot* The Ravens would love to move in front of Pittsburgh and snag Hightower the next Ray Lewis. The Lions need to keep their franchise QB from getting thrown like a ragdoll and if Megatron is going to fulfill that lofty contract he needs the QB to have the time to get him the ball. OK maybe he doesn’t since he is just flat out better than anyone on the field. Zeitler brings stability to the oline.
24. Pittsburgh Steelers: Dont’a Hightower, LB, Alabama
Rumors are that they love Mike Adams. I think it’s a bit of a stretch there is talent later in the draft. Pittsburgh also didn’t get to pick one of the two premier first round big men so they take the heir apparent to the departed James Farrior. Brockers may be the pick I just don’t see him as the NT the Steelers want.
25. Denver Broncos: Michael Brockers, DT, LSU
It will be fun to see how much effort the Broncos put into giving Peyton Manning all the weapons in the world. Tebow did it on his own with nothing. That being said Fox has the strong attitude to take the best player available and add to the only glaring need in a strong D front with Brockers a player who should have gone higher.
26. Houston Texans: Stephen Hill, WR, Georgia Tech
Johnson is getting old and though they could use a tackle possibly Mike Adams the Texans will take the tall athletic receiver from GT. Hey they’ve turned out some good ones at GT.
27. New England Patriots: Shea McClellin, OLB, Boise State
The Patriots need a pass rusher in the worst way and McClellin is rising up the charts. This not a bad pick at this point in the draft. He fills a need and he is a Bellicheck player all the way.
28. Green Bay Packers: Nick Perry, DE, USC
The Pack can go a few ways but they will scoop up an athletic DE that falls this far only because of the depth at this position. This gives their CB’s a lil help since they were picked apart last season with no pressure on the QB.
29. Baltimore Ravens: Courtney Upshaw, OLB, Alabama
This makes me sick that they get this type of talent this late in the draft. The Ravens will add another beast to their defense. Upshaw falls because he supposedly lacks elite size and strength. Have you watched the gamefilm? The kid is a STUD! The Ravens add another good one!.
30. San Francisco 49ers: Coby Fleener, TE, Stanford
There is not much this team needs a WR however is one of them. Why would they not have gone after Mike Wallace and given Pittsburgh this pick to find their new fill in WR. Oh well they spent too much time fighting for Peyton Manning. That being said you add a TE like this to go with Vernon Davis and your WR concern is a lil less with thematchup issuesthis creates. Reuben Randall could be the pick here if the 49ers don’t think they will get a chance at a legitimate WR with an assured 2nd round rush on them.
31. New England Patriots: Janoris Jenkins, CB, N Alabama
The patriots have two 1st round picks like it seems every year. They probably will move this pick just so Belicheck can have a better position next draft. I don’t think the Patriots have that option anymore they need these picks to fill needs. Belicheck is friends with Urban Meyer and knows why coach let him get away with so much at Florida he is that good. Without the character concerns he is the best CB in this draft. H Bill isn’t afraid of some character flaws. He will teach him to be a Patriot and he will be a welcomed addition to the secondary.
32. New York Giants: Mike Adams, OT, Ohio State
Super Bowl Champs finish out night 1. They will get a Tackle to fill a need and help their star and third most popular NY QB Eli get the ball to his new favorite receiver and NFL upcoming superstar Victor Cruz.
