Tyler’s 2017 NFL Mock Draft

2017 NFL Mock Draft | Round 3

1.    Cleveland-Sidney Jones, CB, Washington-If Cleveland can wait a year for Jones, they’ll have a star in the making.

2. San Francisco-Duke Riley, LB, LSU-With a change in defensive schemes, the Niners will need a “see ball, get ball” linebacker.

3. Chicago-Dion Dawkins, T, Temple-Chicago needs help at both tackle spots, but Dawkins will probably never play on the left side.

4. Jacksonville-Chris Wormley, DT, Michigan-Not a superior pass rusher, but Wormley is still a very solid tackle in the middle..

5. Tennessee(Via Rams)-Chris Godwin, WR, Penn St.-Godwin really could be in the 40 or 50 picks, he’s a #1 receiver in the making.

6. New York Jets-Ethan Pocic, C, LSU-Mangold must be replaced.

7. LA Chargers-Curtis Samuel, WR, Ohio St.-The Chargers are desperate for reliable pass catchers that can stay on the field.

8. New England(via Carolina)-Dorian Johnson, G, Pittsburgh-Not only is he the best player on the board, but New England needs depth at G.

9. Cincinnati-Ahkello Witherspoon, CB, Colorado-Witherspoon is a large and rangy corner who can be a versatile threat in the Cincy secondary.

10. Baltimore(via Philly)-Cooper Kupp, WR, E. Washington-Baltimore will more than likely look for more veterans at receiver, but Kupp is a reliable threat that can crack the lineup.

11. Buffalo-Jake Butt, TE, Michigan-Buffalo will take his gift, if Butt lasts this long.

12. New Orleans-Quincy Wilson, CB, Florida-Wilson is a great athlete who is still developing his skills as a cover corner.

13. Arizona-Zay Jones, WR, E. Carolina-If Arizona doesn’t panic in the first two rounds, they’ll find a successful receiver like Jones in round 3.

14. Baltimore-Larry Ogunjobi, DE, Charlotte-Ogunjobi is a small school sleeper that can be easily molded to play the 5 technique.

15. Indianapolis-Isaac Asiata, G, Utah-Indy can’t afford to miss on prospects, so they’ll take the best available players. Asiata should be able to start and develop.

16. Minnesota-Montravious Adams, DT, Auburn-It’s unclear how the defensive line will look by the start of the season. Adams is an attacking threat that will see a ton of playing time.

17. Washington-Jalen Myrick, CB, Minnesota-The secondary played poorly last year. Myrick is yet another Gopher defender that will get quality minutes in the NFL.

18. Denver-Roderick Johnson, T, Florida St.-Again, Watson is not a viable starting option. Denver will double dip at tackle.

19. Tennessee-Dalvin Tomlinson, DE, Alabama-Tomlinson understands the 5 tech spot and will push for starting time with this weak depth in Tennessee.

20. Tampa Bay-Marlon Mack, RB, S. Florida-If Tampa misses a runner in the first, they’ll still find quality further on.

21. Detroit-Samaje Perrine, RB, Oklahoma-It’s clear that Detroit doesn’t have a reliable run game, Perrine is a smash mouth back that will see a ton of snaps.

22. Minnesota(via Miami)-David Sharpe, G/T, Florida-Minnesota has made some waves, but Sharpe can compete at RT or G.

23. New York Giants-Jaleel Johnson, DT, Iowa-Johnson is the best player on the board and will be a good rotational piece in New York.

24. Oakland-D’Onta Freeman, RB, Texas-Oakland may take two or three backs, even if they sign Beast Mode.

25. Houston-Carroll Phillips, LB, Illinois-Phillips is very raw, but has flashed a ton of athleticism on his pro day.

26. Seattle-DeMarcus Walker, DE, Florida St.-Walker is a bit oversized to be a prominent pass rusher, but Seattle will mold him into a vital piece of their defense.

27. Kansas City-ArDarius Stewart, WR, Alabama-Stewart is a steady route runner and reliable catcher. KC needs a bit more reliability from their receiving corps.

28. Dallas-Justin Evans, SS, Texas A and M-With Wilcox and Church gone, Jones will rely on the hard hitting Evans to be NFL ready.

29. Green Bay-Anthony Walker, ILB, Northwestern-Best player on the board, and Walker can push Ryan and Martinez for a starting spot.

30. Pittsburgh-Marcus Williams, FS, Utah-With Davis expected to improve, Williams could be the next piece to a reliable duo at the safety spot.

31. Atlanta-Nathan Peterman, QB, Pittsburgh-Schaub may not be as highly regarded now that Shanahan is gone. Atlanta needs a development behind Ryan.

32. New England-Jourdan Lewis, CB, Michigan-The Pats have a slew of players at corner, and may sign McCourty, but Lewis will have a slight stock slip, and will be a Belechik favorite.

33. Miami-Elijah Qualls, DT, Washington-Miami will be building both lines. Qualls is a load in the middle but still shows capability of getting to a QB.

34. Carolina-Antonio Garcia, G/T, Troy-Carolina seems to be ok with Kalil, but it wouldn’t hurt to have a budding tackle to push him.

35. Philadelphia via Baltimore-J.J. Dielman, C/G, Utah-Dielman is a jack of all trades, but will push for the starting C spot in Philly.

36. Tennessee-DeDe Westbrook, WR, Oklahoma-Westbrook has always been a reliable highlight reel.

37. Denver-Vince Biegel, ILB, Wisconsin-A versatile LB, Biegel will be moved to the interior, as Denver lacks a good cover LB.

38. Seattle-Vincent Taylor, DT, Oklahoma St.-Seattle needs more explosion from their DT’s.

39. New Orleans(via Cleveland)-Malachi Dupre, WR, LSU-Yet another receiver for New Orleans, but Dupre is a special talent that needs polishing.

40. Kansas City-Rasul Douglas, CB, W. Virginia-Another weak point for KC is corner depth. Douglas may compete for the #2 spot, but will be a much better nickel option than what the Chiefs have.

41. Pittsburgh-Tanoh Kpassagnon, DE, Vanderbilt-He’s the best player on the board, and Tanoh comes with so much length and versatility.

42. Seattle-Trey Hendrickson, LB, Florida Atlantic-Though a defensive end, Hendrickson has shown the ball hawk skills that will make him a nice SLB for Seattle.

43. New York Jets-Kareem Hunt, RB, Toledo-Hunt is a shifty runner, who can catch, and power through the middle.
