Ian’s 2015 NFL Mock Draft | 55-64

2015 NFL Mock Draft Round 2 by Ian

Round 2 | 55-64:

55. Arizona – Eli Harold – OLB – Virginia. Harold is the best edge player available but he should go higher than this. If he is here Arizona could have a steal a solid edge rusher in the 2nd.

56. Pittsburgh – Ronald Darby – CB – Florida State – Pitt doubles up on defensive backs after two of their reitre. Darby is smaller compared to today’s cornerback but he doesn’t play small. He isn’t afraid to hit and has the speed to cover NFL receivers.

57. Carolina – Phillips Dorsett – WR – Miami. Dorrsett is a burner, extremely fast but small. He could become the perfect compliment to Kelvin Bejamin and could be a solid kick returner.

58. Baltimore – Tevin Coleman – RB – Indiana. A rumor was floating around that the Ravens covet Melvin Gordon in round one, but in this mock he is already picked by the time their choice comes up. Coleman can provide similar explosiveness and ran behind a weaker offensive line in college than Gordon did.

59. Denver – Damarious Randall – FS – Arizona State. Denver lost Rahim Moore to the Texans in free agency and need to find a replacement. Randall is the best safety in coverage available in this class. His small size is a question but he will rarely if ever be dropping into the box, that responsibility belongs to TJ Ward.

60. Dallas –Jay Ajayi – RB – Bois St. Dallas lost their star running back and picked up McFadden from Oakland to try and replace Demarco but McFadden has been very unproductive and injury prone in his time with Oakland. Adding another young running back to the roster is a must for the Cowboys unless they make a move for a better veteran like Adrian Peterson. Ajayi showed last year at Boise St the ability to contribute in the pass game as well, his frame is ideal for an NFL running back with a strong lower body.

61. Indianapolis – Cedric Ogbuehi – OT – Texas A&M. Ogbuehi was one of the top linemen going into this year and stayed atop boards until an injury in the Aggies bowl game hurt his stock. He can play multiple line positions but he will most likely be a guard or right tackle in the NFL. The Colts need to reinforce their offensive line to keep Andrew Luck from taking so many hits like he did last year.

62. Green Bay – Michael Bennett – DT – Ohio State. Bennett will add to a solid defensive line rotation in Green Bay. Raji has faded over the past few years so adding depth to their defensive line is needed.

63. Seattle – Shaq Thompson – OLB/S – Washington. Thompson is the biggest mystery of this draft; it will only take one team to fall in love with everything Thompson has to offer. Recruited as a safety, turned into a linebacker, and also played running back. Thompson is a unique talent and will provide a lot of help in coverage as a linebacker but can also play strong safety if needed. Seattle has a very strong team already and can take him as a luxury pick at this point.

64. New England – Ameer Abdullah – RB – Nebraska. The Patriots lost both Vereen and Ridley in the offseason but still have Blount in their backfield. Adding a versatile playmaker like Abdullah could be a solid addition for New England who already has a power back with Blount. Abdullah is a little undersized but can play in a Darren Sproles type role, contributing in the pass game and return game..
