Quarterback’s, Wide Receiver’s and Running Backs to Watch at the 2015 NFL Scouting Combine

Quarterback’s:

1. Jameis Winston-Already questions of his shoulder have been released. If Jameis fails to impress, a monumental slide could be seen in the draft.

2. Marcus Mariota-The big reason to watch is a possible leap over Winston as the top QB. Can he work the pocket? Can he be accurate? Can he progress through targets?

3. Garrett Grayson-Grayson compares very close Kirk Cousins. Coming from a complete pro offense, Grayson is QB who can play immediately in the NFL and manage a game. Note he’s a game manager, not a game changer. Could he sneak in the 1st for a QB needy team?

Running Back’s:

1. Tevin Coleman-The RB class has some big names this year. Coleman may be a dark horse candidate to be the 1st RB off of the board. A big time punisher with a second gear, Coleman mowed down the competition behind a very poor line. If Coleman were at Georgia or Wisconsin, he would be a household name already. The 40 time is make or break for him.

2. Kenny Hilliard-Recently, LSU backs have been selected early and often. They are big, they are fast, they are highly productive. Hilliard is no different.

3. Braylon Heard-Once considered one of the best high school backs in the country, Heard saw mixed results in college. This guy is fast and reliable. A perfect scat back, or one cut back, a good combine could lead to nice draft statuts.

Wide Receiver’s:

1. Dorial Green Beckham-DGB is already a household name. Displaying a massive body, if the speed and hands are there, is a first round guy? The biggest knock is his game intelligence. Very much a “go and get it” receiver, can he read an NFL playbook?

2. Nelson Agholor-USC has developed some very credible WR’s. Agholor is being displaced due to a down year and the explosiveness of Cooper and Kevin White. Not a big guy, but Algholor’s ability may elevate him to the 2nd round.

3. Stefon Diggs-Diggs is a flat out game changer. Already bragging 10 inch hands, and a decent frame, Diggs could be tops on an NFL radar. Think Percy Harvin.

4. Devon Smith-Smith is getting a ton of press because he’s a track star. Speed sells in the NFL, but if Smith shows the hand and route skills, Smith could sneak it as the 3rd receiver on the board.

5. Cam Worthy-Worthy is stout player. A good 40 time could see his stock soar.

6. Mario Alford-Again, speed sells, and West Virginia wideouts are always well coached and explosive.
