2015 NFL Mock Draft Round 2
Round 2 | 55-64:
55) Arizona Cardinals: Havoli Kikaha, DE, Washington: He’s 6-6, 250 and had more than 18 sacks this year. The problem is his lack of speed and he did not look good at the Senior Bowl when asked to cover pass receivers. The classic tweener.
56) Pittsburgh Steelers: Clive Walford, TE, Miami: At almost 6-6 and 260, scouts love his size and NCAA awards people liked his production and made him the John Mackey Award Winner as the best tight end in college football. I have two problems with Walford. He runs around a 4.93 40, which is what massive defensive linemen run, and he gets easily gassed after running with the ball. But I’m sure the Steelers don’t care as long as he protects Ben Roethisberger as a blocker.
57) Carolina Panthers: Devin Smith, WR, Ohio State: Smith is a big time deep threat who has like the world’s record for touchdowns per catch. Should be a nice weapon for Cam Newton. I’d be concerned, however, about Smith catching the ball when it is not a deep pass.

58) Baltimore Ravens: TY Yeldon, RB, Alabama: A good, pro ready, solid player who is probably overrated but will be dependable, if not spectacular.
59)Denver Broncos: Eli Herold, OLB, Virginia: I’m not sure why scouts think Herold is a second round prospect other than the excellent record of Virginia defenders have had performing in the NFL. Neither his production nor his size would make you believe he’s going to be a superstar.
60) Dallas Cowboys: Danielle Hunter, DE, LSU: Like Dante Fowler of Florida, Hunter is a master of putting pressure on the quarterback without actually sacking him. I have to take the word of scouts that this is a good thing because I don’t entirely understand the logic.

61)Indianapolis Colts: Christian Covington, DT, Rice. One of the most underrated and unknown elite performers in this draft, Covington will be talked about a lot in the next two months. Another under the radar Conference USA player, Covington has been closely watched by NFL scouts as he played big against Notre Dame and stuffed Marshall’s first attempt at a conference championship in 2013. He’s a little undersized at 295, why he’s projected to the 4th round, but he’s too good and too smart a player to ignore that long.
62) Green Bay Packers: Xavier Cooper, DT, Washington State: Cooper is unknown, befitting a player who played for the Mad Pirate Mike Leach and his Air Raid offense, but he is known to scouts and liked by general managers.
63)Seattle Seahawks: Philip Dorsett, WR/KR, Miami: The Seahawks are built on speed. Teams knew Dorsett had 4.3 speed when he came to the Senior Bowl, they did not know he could run routes so well. He can also return kicks. He’s short at 5-10, but if he gets by his defenders the Seahawks won’t have to worry about how high he leaps.
64) New England Patriots – Nick O’Leary TE, Florida St. 6’3" 247 lbs
I think this would be the remedy for the Pat’s as they could finally find a good replacement for A. Hernandez at the switchblade TE position. Had 48 recep, 618 yds & 6 td’s in 2014. Clutch receiver, nice route runner & has XLNT hands. Played well in big games last 2 years for Noles. Always in the right place at the right time. Also has XLNT athletic bloodlines being the grandson of legendary golfer Jack Nicklaus.
