The Dallas Cowboys have a couple of options with this pick in the 2011 NFL Mock Draft. They could take one of the top 3-4 Ends in JJ Watt (2011 NFL Mock Draft #1 3-4 Defensive End), Cameron Jordan (2011 NFL Mock Draft #2 3-4 Defensive End or Marcell Dareus with this top 10 pick in the NFL Draft. Another option would be taking a CB to help with a sub par year in someone such as Brandon Harris or Jimmy Smith who are the next best available CB’s in this 2011 NFL Mock Draft.
I previously had Nate Solder going to the Cowboys in my prior 2011 NFL Mock Draft’s but I think the fact that he cannot keep weight on is going to really hurt his draft stock. So this pick is between Tyron Smith (2011 NFL Mock Draft #1 OT) and Mike Pouncey (2011 NFL Mock Draft #1 G). Though I think Smith is more athletic and can play both Tackle positions I think that Mike Pouncey has a lot of upside and could come in and play very well much like his brother. Though Smith may have more upside I think Pouncey may be the safer pick in this 2011 NFL Mock Draft.
