1. Coby Fleener • 6-6• 247 • Stanford
Fleener benefited in college because he had Andrew Luck throwing him the ball. He moves well for his big frame and catches the ball away from his body. Needs to work on inline blocking if he wants to be a duel threat: Late 1st – Early 2nd
2. Dwayne Allen • 6-3 • 255 • Clemson
Allen moves better on the field then he ran on the track at the scouting combine. He is an average blocker for the Tight End position which in this class helps. He also tends to catch the ball well and doesn’t bring it into his body: 2nd Round
3. Orson Charles • 6’2” • 251 • Georgia
Getting a DWI is not going to help his draft stock. He is an undersized tight end who moves well and catches the ball in crowds well. I see him projecting to an Aaron Hernandez type role: 2nd-3rd Round
4. Deangelo Peterson • 6-3 • 243 • LSU
Peterson was converted from a wide receiver to a tight end. He is a little slender for the tight end position and therefore projects to be another “move” tight end. He has the ability to block if needed but is below average: 3rd Round
5. Ladarius Green • 6-6• 238• Louisiana- Lafayette
Green has the height and frame to be an every down tight end at the next level. He does need to add a good amount of weight if he wants to be more than a pass catching tight end. With that said he has good ball skills and will at least get a shot to shift in and out as so many tight ends do these days: 3rd – 4th Round
6. Michael Egnew• 6-5• 252 • Missouri
Egnew is a pass catching tight end like most tight ends that come out of the Missouri programs spread offense. With that being said he does have a pretty good frame for the next level and if he adds some weight could surprise some people: 3rd -5th Round
7. Evan Rodriguez • 6-1 • 239 • Temple
Rodriguez is an under sized tight end who ran well (maybe not for his size) at the scouting combine. He projects to be a pass catching tight end/H back in the NFL: 4th-6th Round
8. Emil Igwenagu • 6-1 • 249 • Umass
Like Rodriguez he is undersized for the tight end position. I could see him transitioning to an H-Back or even a Fullback position which he played some in college. He does have the ability to inline block and also has good enough speed for any of the above positions: 4th-7th Round
9. Chase Ford• 6-6 • 258 • Miami
Ford didn’t have a lot of production at Miami with only 16 career catches. With that being said he did show promise in some pre-draft workouts with his ball skills. However, he struggles to be even an average blocker. 5th-7th Round
10. Kevin Kroger• 6-3 • 262 • Michigan
Koger has a good frame and long arms which is ideal for the tight end position. He is not seen as a great athlete though he moves well for his size. He catches the ball well but is still a very raw player. 5th-7th Round
