6. Trade: St. Louis Rams: Matt Kalil, OT, USC
This selection would potentially be the fastest ballot put in if Matt Kalil falls to the Rams in the 2012 NFL Draft. This Mock Draft portrays that but I could see the Rams being willing to trade up to the 3rd overall selection to take Matt Kalil in this 2012 NFL Mock Draft (Updated by Hunter S).
7. Jacksonville Jaguars: Morris Claiborne, CB, LSU
The Jaguars take the best player available with this selection. (Hunter s).
8. Miami Dolphins: Riley Reiff, OT-Iowa
With the late season resurgence of QB Matt Moore, the Dolphins knocked themselves out of the running for Andrew Luck and RG3. I believe the Dolphins will make a strong push for Packers backup QB Matt Flynn, who is an unrestricted free agent this offseason. Riley Reiff would be a great addition to the offensive line which is a weak spot. He would step in at right tackle, where Vernon Carey leaves via free agency, and become an instant starter and an upgrade. Reiff compares to Nate Solder, the 2011 1st round pick of the New England Patriots.
9. Carolina Panthers: Fletcher Cox, DT, Miss St
I know that the hot name right now for DT’s is Dontari Poe. However, I say and everyone else says that the workout session is only part of the testing. They are comparing Poe to Ngata which athletically you can do but the on field production just isn’t there for me yet. I think he can be a top 20 pick but don’t like him in the top 10 or the first DT off the board. With all of that being said I think the Panthers would love to have a player like Fletcher Cox who can do everything on the defensive line (updated by Hunter S).
10. Buffalo Bills: Quinton Coples, DE, UNC
The Bills need to improve their pass rush so this pick is between the best Defensive ends in the draft. I believe they could go with Quinton Coples, Melvin Ingram or Courtney Upshaw. I think Ingram is the most versatile of them all but Coples is the best fit for a true 4-3 system. So in the end I have them taking the long bodied Coples who has a ton of upside (updated by Hunter S).
