23. Philadelphia Eagles: Justin Houston, OLB, Georgia (#7 DE- 2011 NFL Mock Draft Rank)
The Eagles have a pro bowl left tackle but with Vick they need a very good right tackle as well. I previously had the Eagles taking an offensive lineman. However, I think that Defensive line could still be a good option for the Eagles. Houston didn’t work out as well as a lot of people thought he might but he gained some weight and showed good size. He is going to be a 4-3 defensive end most likely at the next level and will be a good player that can get after the QB.
24. New Orleans Saints: Adrian Clayborn, DE/DT, Iowa(#5 DT- 2011 NFL Mock Draft Rank)
The Saints get a very talented defensive end in Adrian Clayborn. He has the ability to play inside as well as rush the passer on the outside. He falls a little bit because of his character issues and lack of great play this year. He was still an impact player but not quite the player he has been in years past.
25. Seattle Seahawks: Christian Ponder, QB, FSU (#4 QB- 2011 NFL Mock Draft Rank)
The Seahawks take a QB late in this 2011 NFL Mock Draft. I previously had Mallett going to the Seahawks with this pick because he could potentially sit behind Matt Hassellback and learn. However I think Ponder fits the offense better and is going to be a better pro. Additionally I think he is also going to be a higher draft pick in this 2011 NFL Mock Draft and the NFL Draft.
26. Baltimore Ravens: Cameron Heyward, DE/DT, Ohio St (#6 DE- 2011 NFL Mock Draft Rank)
The Ravens get one of the best 3-4 defensive lineman in this 2011 NFL Mock Draft available. They have their interior line position solidified so they bill on the defensive end position. Heyward had a great Sugar Bowl and he will help an already very good defense with this NFL Draft pick.
27. Atlanta Falcons: Kyle Rudolph, TE, ND (#1 Tight End: 2011 NFL Mock Draft)
The Falcons have a good offense and a pretty good defense. They have a very good young QB and RB so with this pick I have them protecting them both for the next couple of years. I previously had Solder as competing with Tyron Smith to be the top OT in this 2011 NFL Mock Draft. However, Solder has proved he cannot keep weight on while Smith has gained weight and continues to work out extremely well. This all being said and done I think that they need to get Tony Gonzalez replacement and Kyle Rudolph is a perfect fit.
28. NE Patriots: Ryan Kerrigan, DE, Purdue (#3 DE- 2011 NFL Mock Draft Rank)
I don’t think it was worth the Patriots to take a RB with their top pick but someone with this talent being picked this late in the first round would be worth the 31st pick. Leshoure is considered by some to be the top rated RB in the 2011 NFL Draft and I recently had him jumping Mark Ingram because I believe he is a more versatile RB. However, I think that Aldon Smith is a little raw talent wise but he is a steal this late in the 2011 NFL mock draft.
29.Chicago Bears: Jonathan Baldwin, WR, Pitt (#3 WR- 2011 NFL Mock Draft Rank)
Jay Cutler has had some good games this year and of late has had some really really bad games. I think he has some good receiving weapons but he doesn’t have any big targets. So I have them taking a top tier WR in Jonathan Baldwin from Pitt. Baldwin showed that he has very good physical skills at the combine but I am still not sure that he is a first round prospect….
30. NY Jets: Corey Liuget, DE/DT, Illinois (#6 DT- 2011 NFL Mock Draft Rank)
The Jets have a good team already and the ability to rush the passer. Corey Liuget is a versatile player which is the type that Rex Ryan likes. They have most of their offensive weapons filled. Liuget gives him a couple of options on the defensive line who can help right away.
31. Pittsburgh Steelers: Gabe Carimi, OT, Wisconsin (#5 OT- 2011 NFL Mock Draft Rank)
The Steelers get the a top tier lineman in this 2011 NFL Mock Draft. Carimi most likely would play Guard or Right Tackle at the next level and would help the Steelers continue their run game with Rashard Mendenhall.
32. GB Packers: Mikel Leshoure, RB, Illinois (#1 RB- 2011 NFL Mock Draft Rank)
I am not sure about this pick as Ryan Grant will be back next year and now that James Starks looked good in the first playoff game. However, in getting Leshoure this late in the 2011 NFL Mock Draft they are getting a steal. I have him taking my top rated 2011 NFL Mock Draft RB in this draft.
