22. Pittsburgh Steelers: Trevard Lindley, CB, Kentucky
The Steelers are looking to a pretty good team but they have a very tough schedule in 2008. Look for them to be good not great. They could also go for a G or a T here because they lost some offensive linemen. The Steelers take the best player available in the 2009 NFL Draft much like they did with the 2008 NFL DRaft.
23. Cleveland Browns: LeSean McCoy, RB, Pitt
McCoy is considered to be a top tier RB and is supposed to be a first round pick in the 2009 NFL Draft. I think that Cleveland has a good RB in Jamal Lewis but he is aging very fast and probably only has one or two more years in him. So if the Browns draft LeSean McCoy in the 2009 NFL Draft they can have him learn under Lewis and split carries with him in the 2009 season.
24. Tennessee Titans: Aaron Kelly, WR, Clemson
The Titans once again didn’t get a top notch WR for Vince Young to throw to. So I say they go with one here and give him a big athletic player like Aaron Kelly is. However, if Haynesworth leaves the Titans they might opt to go DT because he has big shoes to fill. So look for them to either strengthen the WR core or the OT core here.
25. New Orleans Saints: Brandon Pettigrew, TE, Ok St.
The Saints have a lot of good young receivers who are very good for the team. In the 2008 season I feel like they will be successful but they still need a good tight end as a threat. Pettigrew has the credentials to be a first round pick and be successful in the 2009 season with the New Orleans Saints.
26. Green Bay Packers: Greg Middleton, DE, Indiana
The Packers could either be good or bad depending on the QB situation. I think that they need to go defense because they have three young QB’s and a lot of good younr WR’s. Not to mention quite possibly the best player on the team Ryan Grant their young RB. So I say they go defensive end and help the aging ends that they have over in the Green Bay. This could make the Packers one of the youngest but best teams in football for the 2009 season.
27. New York Giants: Jeff Owens, DT, Georgia
The Giants are losing one of their best DE’s to retirement so they are going to need a new anchor on it. Owens is a very good prospect and he could step in and start right away for a very good DL in 2009. They may also go DE here because of Strahan’s retirement.
28. Dallas Cowboys: Jeremy Maclin, WR, Miss
The Cowboys got their RB in the 2008 NFL Draft but they didn’t get any younger at WR. I would look for the Cowboys to take the best WR available here and let him learn under Owens and Glenn two very good veterans. The Cowboys need to get younger and better at receiver for the 2009 season and Maclin will be able to step in and do that for Jerry Jones.
29. Indianapolis Colts: Peria Jerry, DT, Ole Miss
The Colts are a very good team they just have a few holes at times. Their defense was much improved during the regular season the last few years but I think they need a run stopper in the middle. Peria Jerry is a beast from Ole Miss who can get the job done. The Colts need to get bigger and stronger and he will be able to do this for the 2009 NFL Season.
30. Jacksonville Jaguars: Sen’Derrick Marks, DT, Auburn
Auburn has had some pretty good players the last few years and Marks is not an exception. Look for him to come in and be very successful anywhere he plays for the Jags.
31. San Diego Chargers: Arian Foster, RB, Ten
The Chargers drafted a RB but he is more of a FB/RB. So in my 2009 NFL Mock Draft I have them taking a backup for Tomlinson and maybe a future replacement because Tomlinson said he wants to go out at the top of his game. So the Chargers secure themselves with Foster a very good RB out of Ten. for the 2009 season.
32. New England Patriots: Victor Harris, CB, VT
The Pats take a CB to help their Defense in 2009.
