Von Miller, OLB, Texas A&M
2011 NFL Mock Draft #1 OLB
For a while it seemed like this pick was going to be between either Da’Quan Bowers (2011 NFL Mock Draft #5 DE) the Defensive end/OLB out of Clemson or Patrick Peterson (2011 NFL Mock Draft #1 CB) the stud CB out of LSU. At this point only one of those two players has a viable shot to be the #2 pick in the 2011 NFL Draft. Da’Quan Bowers had a very poor showing at his pro day and a lot of people are concerned about his health. I have heard that a couple scouts wouldn’t select him in the first round because of his injury concerns. Peterson on the other hand is a stud and I think may still be the front runner to go to the Broncos. However, with this 2011 NFL Mock Draft I have them taking the top pass rusher in this 2011 NFL Mock Draft in Von Miller. He is my top rated 2011 NFL Mock Draft OLB and my favorite player in this draft. He has the ability and athleticism to play 3-4 OLB, 4-3 OLB and can even play a 4-3 Defensive End position. I think he is the safest player in this draft and that he will be up for defensive rookie of the year.
