Week 13 NFL Power Rankings

NFL Week 13 Power Rankings

Mock Drafts

by Tyler Lurkins

1.  New England-Per the norm, New England keeps rolling along.  They’re in the game of the week

as they travel to Green Bay.

2. Green Bay-It was a closer game than expected, but Green Bay comes away with the win.  They

host New England next week.

3. Denver-Manning made use of the weapons he had as Denver scooted past a tough Fins team.

Denver’s D will need to be on their game as the Ponies travel to Kansas City.

4. Arizona-Winning in Seattle is no easy matter.  However, it brought Arizona back to the pack.

They should have a great chance in the dome of Atlanta next week.

5. Detroit-Detroit is in the middle of a rough schedule, but need to win these big games.  They

should be able to hold off the Bears on Thanksgiving.

6. Kansas City-It’s hard to give KC respect.  This team can’t continue to be carried by Jamaal

Charles.  Smith has to make plays.  Denver could be a make or break game next week for the

Chiefs.

7. Philadelphia-It’s hard to see consistency in a Sanchez lead team, but this offense is hard to

handle for any D.  Can Dallas’s improved D stop them?

8. Indianapolis-The Colts seem to just catch lightning in a bottle.  The D is soft and the O line

struggles.  The good news is Indy gets Washington next week.

9. Dallas-A less than impressive win against New York leads to a tough Philly matchup next week.

10. Miami-Miami is a 5 loss team.  Though they need to win the tough matchups they’ve had, Miami

is a top 10 team.  They travel to the New Jersey next week.

11. Pittsburgh-The Steelers come off their bye to face a reeling New Orleans team that can’t seem

to get it together.

12. Baltimore-Baltimore held strong against a tough New Orleans offense.  A decent, and healthy,

San Diego team comes to town next week.

13. Cincinnati-Dalton seems to have it together as Cincy takes on a feeble Tampa team next.

14. Cleveland-Cleveland doesn’t seem to be better than teams, but they seem to want to win more

than any other team.  This gritty bunch challenges Buffalo for a very nice matchup.

15. Seattle-Seattle is getting injured players back, especially Bobby Wagner, who helps lead the

front seven.  Will the team finally click and beat the Niners?

16. San Francisco-A win is a win, but the Niners still look very lost.  Seattle looks to be balanced now

and San Fran needs to be strong to make the playoffs.

17. Buffalo-Buffalo wins big against the shabby Jets.  Cleveland poses a real challenge for the playoff

hopeful Bills.

18. San Diego-A close win versus St. Louis was marred by mistakes and poor officiating.  Baltimore

will be a tough matchup if the Bolts can’t click.

19. Houston-Houston will be without Mallett now, is it time to see what Savage has for the future?

Houston will remain at .500 for the year as they face a lost Titans team.

20. Chicago-Chicago may have skated by the Bucs, but Detroit will be out for blood on Thanksgiving.

21. Minnesota-Minnesota seems to hang in there.  They are a young, learning, and resilient team

who will be a tough team in the future.  Look for them to topple the visiting Panthers next week.

22. New Orleans-This team just can’t play defense.  A rejuvenated Steeler offense, in Pittsburgh,

won’t offer much relief to the Saints next Sunday.

23. St. Louis-The Rams have a ton of shoulda, woulda, and coulda’s this year.  Without a QB they will

remain lackluster.  However, they do get the oft beaten Raiders this Sunday.

24. Atlanta-The lowly Falcons still have a shot at the South.  A tough Arizona team comes to town in

a must win for Atlanta.

25. Carolina-It’s a shame how a playoff team allows so much talent to walk.  The franchise QB is

being wrecked every play, yet Carolina is still in the hunt for the South title.  Minnesota won’t be

a joke next week.

26. New York Giants-The Giants have weapons in place and show heart, but just can’t get wins.

They need to save face and beat Jacksonville next week.

27. Tampa Bay-Tampa is pretty hopeless, but do have talent up and down the roster.  They take on

the Bengals next, who are trying to roll their way into the playoffs.

28. Washington-The Skins just don’t have it.  Turmoil in the locker room and poor leadership leads

to more losses.

29. Tennessee-Tennessee is on a learning curve with Mettenberger at the helm.  They may have a

decent chance at Houston who is without Mallett now.

30. New York Jets-After a bye week the Jets get pummeled by the Bills.  Next week won’t be any

easier against Miami.

31. Oakland-Though coming off a huge win, it’s hard for Oakland to jump higher than here.  Can

they make it two in a row in St. Louis?

32. Jacksonville-Jacksonville can show growth by beating a struggling Giants team next week.
