The 2012 NFL mock draft picks 9-16 are led with a a couple big school prospects that played for big time schools in Quinton Coples and Courtney Upshaw.

2012 NFL Mock Draft | 9-16
9. Carolina Panthers: Janoris Jenkins, CB, N Alabama
2012 NFL Mock Draft #2 CB
In this 2012 NFL Mock Draft I have the Panthers selecting a top tier CB out of a small school ( who was previously with Florida). I think at this point the 2nd CB off the board will be either Dre Kirkpatrick or Janoris Jenkins. However, both have off field issues so we will see what happens in this 2012 NFL Mock Draft.
10. Buffalo Bills: Quinton Coples, DE, UNC
2012 NFL Mock Draft #1 Defensive End
The talks are that the Buffalo Bills are going to transition back to a 4-3 scheme. I previously had the Bills taking Courtney Upshaw. However, I believe that Quinton Coples is a better overall fit in a 4-3 scheme and this is why I have them taking Coples over Upshaw in this 2012 NFL Mock Draft .
11. Kansas City Chiefs: Courtney Upshaw, DE/OLB, Alabama
2012 NFL Mock Draft #2 Defensive End
In this 2012 NFL mock draft the Kansas City Chiefs take a good defensive player to continue building on their already good defense. I previously had them taking a QB in this 2012 NFL Mock Draft and picking much higher but now they are out of the top 10 and the top tier QB’s seem to all be gone. However, due to the fact that they keep winning games and I see a few more wins in their future I have moved them down in this 2012 NFL Mock Draft.
12. Seattle Seahawks: Dont’a Hightower, ILB, Alabama
2012 NFL Mock Draft #1 ILB
I know I know that a lot of people have Kuechly rated as the top overall ILB. However, I think it is close but I like Hightower and I like the level he played at all year. I know that the Seahawks already missed on a first round LB so they may be hesitant to pull the trigger on Hightower. I also think they could go with a QB in this situation such as Ryan Tannehill… I just don’t believe he is a first round talent.
13. Arizona Cardinals: David DeCastro, G, Stanford
2012 NFL Mock Draft #2 Offensive Tackle
I don’t know that the Cardinals will pull the trigger on Richardson when they already have Beanie Wells on their roster. With that being said this is a top 5 talent that has fallen because of the fact that he is a running back. Therefore, just due to value pick and the injuries that the Cardinals have had at RB I think they select this play maker if he is still available.
14. Dallas Cowboys: Michael Brockers, DT, LSU
2012 NFL Mock Draft DT
The Cowboys get a player that a lot are saying is a top 10 selection (mostly to the Panthers). In this 2012 NFL Mock Draft I have him falling out of the top to but believe he is a top 15 talent with big upside. So I have the Cowboys selecting him as he is athletic enough to be able to play multiple positions in the Cowboys scheme.
15. Philadelphia Eagles: Luke Kuechly, ILB, Boston College
2012 NFL Mock Draft #2 ILB
Kendall Wright may be the selection with this 2012 NFL Mock Draft pick if Desean Jackson walks and they don’t pick up a receiver in free agency. However, I think they need to help improve their defense with this 2012 NFL Mock Draft. That being said they get the 2nd rated LB in this 2012 NFL Mock Draft and a very good ball hawk.
16. New York Jets: Michael Floyd, WR, Notre Dame
2012 NFL Mock Draft #3 Wide Receiver
It seems as though the Jets are going to be losing a couple of their top tier Wide Receivers. With that being said I think that Michael Floyd is a good wide receiver that can stretch the field and be a deep threat for Mark Sanchez in this 2012 NFL Mock Draft. Another Wide Receiver option here would be Alshon Jeffery or Mohamed Sanu as well. However, they are bigger receivers that a lot of people will say are going to struggle getting separation… therefore I have Floyd leapfrogging both of them .
