2012 NFL Mock Draft Pick | 25-32
25. Denver Broncos: Mark Barron, SS, Bama
2012 NFL Mock Draft Strong Safety
Mark Barron is the top rated safety in this 2012 NFL Mock Draft. I don’t however see him right now as being great in cover as he was used a lot as a linebacker and in running down hill. So with this 2012 NFL Mock Draft I have him falling a little bit and have Mark Barron coming in to be a starter right away for this team.
26. Houston Texans: Stephen Hill, WR, Georgia Tech
2012 NFL Mock Draft Wide Receiver
The Texans have a very good defense already so I have them going to the offensive side of the ball with this 2012 NFL Draft pick. Stephen Hill killed it at the combine and has been rising up draft boards ever since then. I see him now as a first round selection and he could be a good selection to play opposite of Andre Johnson.
27. New England Patriots (NO): Devon Still, DE/DT, PSU
2012 NFL Mock Draft Outside Linebackers
The Patriots need to continue to work on their defense in this 2012 NFL Mock Draft. I have the Patriots taking one of the better players in this 2012 NFL Mock Draft because Devon Still has the athleticism to play a 5 Tech in a 3-4 Defense or even inside.
28. Green Bay Packers: Whitney Mercilus, DE, Illinois
2012 NFL Mock Draft Outside Linebacker
It looks like Mercilus is going to end up being a 3-4 pass rusher at the next level. I wouldn’t be shocked if he was selecting by a 4-3 team that wanted to use him strictly in a pass rushing role early on in his career. But if he is going to be a first round selection you will want the player to be an every down back. For Mercilus to be that he will need to be a 3-4 OLB in my opinion.
29. Baltimore Ravens: Dont’a Hightower, ILB, ‘Bama
2012 NFL Mock Draft #2 ILB
The Ravens lose Ben Grubbs and could go interior offensive line with this pick. However, there is a pretty good versatile ILB available with this selection. Ray Lewis can’t play forever and Hightower would be a good replacement for him.
30. San Francisco 49ers: Peter Konz, C/G, Wisconsin
2012 NFL Mock Draft Center Guard
The 49ers could use another WR with this selection in case Moss and Crabtree don’t pan out. With that being said I think they could also use help on the offensive line with a player like Konz.
31. New England Patriots: Chandler Jones, DE, Syracuse
2012 NFL Mock Draft Defensive End
I personally don’t like this pick at all because I am not a huge Chandler Jones fan. It seems that all the draft specialists for ESPN and NFL Network have been hearing things that I have not been hearing. So with this 2nd pick in the 2012 NFL Mock Draft I have the Patriots selecting Chandler Jones which if this is the case could be the biggest reach in the 2012 NFL Draft.
32. New York Giants: Jonathan Martin, OT, Stanford
2012 NFL Mock Draft Offensive Tackle
The New York Giants are World Champions! With that being said they have quite a few injured Tight Ends on their roster currently. However, it seems as though they have addressed the Tight End position with Bennett. So I have them upgrading the offensive line and hoping Jonathan Martin can come in and start right away for them.
