2012 NFL mock draft picks 17-24 are headlined by a couple big name college players but mostly some grunts up front in offensive lineman.

2012 NFL Mock Draft | 17-24
17. Cincinnati Bengals (OAK): David DeCastro, G/C, Stanford
2012 NFL Mock Draft #1 Guard
The Bengals get a the best overall Guard in this 2012 NFL Mock Draft. DeCastro has the ability to both play Guard and Center for a team in the upcoming NFL Season. I believe that he is a top 10 player in this 2012 NFL Mock Draft but because he is a Guard he falls a little bit.
18. San Diego Chargers: Cordy Glenn, G/T, Georgia
2012 NFL Mock Draft Guard/Tackle
This Chargers could go Wide Receiver with this pick after losing Vincent Jackson in free agency. They could go with Kendall Wright with this selection which I believe would be a good pick. With that being said Cordy Glenn is a versatile offensive lineman who I believe will be able to come in right away and start Guard.
19. Chicago Bears: Michael Brockers, DT, LSU
2012 NFL Mock Draft Defensive Tackle
The Bears get a good Defensive Tackle in this 2012 NFL Mock Draft. I got some very good input back from Jack a long time Bears fan on this selection. It seems as though the biggest needs would be on the defensive line for them for the time being. Michael Brockers ends up falling to them in this scenario so I have the Bears snagging him for his potential on the inside .
20. Tennessee Titans: Nick Perry, DE, USC
2012 NFL Mock Draft Defensive End
I previously had the Titans taking Cordy Glenn with this 20th pick. However, the Bengals snag Glenn with the 17th overall pick because of his ability to play multiple positions and help in the running game. With this 2012 NFL Draft selection I could see the Titans looking at the available pass rushers here including Whitney Mercilus, Nick Perry, Courtney Upshaw or Andre Branch. I think this pick is between Courtney Upshaw and Nick Perry. Due to Jerry Gray’s scheme I think that Nick Perry will be a better fit.
21. Cincinnati Bengals : Doug Martin, RB, Boise St
2012 NFL Mock Draft #2 Running Back
I previously have had Lamar Miller as this selection in my past 2012 NFL Mock Draft’s. I do think Miller is good and has top end elite speed as a running back. However, I think that Doug Martin is more of an every down back and will be good right out of the gates. So I have Cincy selecting Martin and plugging him in right away to be the starter in the 2012 NFL Season.
22. Cleveland Browns (ATL): Kendall Wright, WR, Baylor
2012 NFL Mock Draft Wide Receiver
The Browns end up going with Morris Claiborne with the 4th overall pick in this 2012 NFL Mock Draft. So with this selection they may end up getting the steal of the draft. Wright did not run great at the combine but he is a very fast on field player and that in the end is what matters. He should come in right away and be a top target for whoever ends up being the starter in Cleveland at QB.
23. Detroit Lions: Mike Adams, OT, Ohio State
2012 NFL Mock Draft Offensive Tackle
The Detroit Lions get an ok tackle in this 2012 NFL Mock Draft. I don’t see him to be a great tackle right out of the gate but I believe that he could end up being the starting left tackle for the Detroit Lions in a year or two. I would compare him to being a less athletic Nate Solder.
24. Pittsburgh Steelers: Stephon Gilmore, CB, South Carolina
2012 NFL Mock Draft Cornerback
I previously had the Steelers taking Mike Adams with this pick in the 2012 NFL Draft. They really need to continue to improve their offensive line for the 2012 season. At this point I could see them going after one of the available Guards here or taking Jonathan Martin out of Stanford. However, I think that with Stephon Gilmore on the board and the Steelers secondary very thin Gilmore may be the best selection in this 2012 NFL Mock Draft.
