Matt Ryan: 2008 NFL Draft Updates

bostoncollege_bl.jpg

Matt Ryan got some playing time for Boston College as a freshman in 2004. He threw for 350 yds 2 Td’s and 3 Int’s as a Freshman. In 2005 Ryan’s numbers jumped greatly. His Quarterback rating went from 49% to 62% in 2005. His Td’s also increased from 2 Td’s to 8 td’s and his interceptions increased to 5. As a Junior Ryan continued to play good and do pretty well throwing 15 Td’s and 10 ints with 2900 yards. Ryan is starting to show his true colors this year and is making a run at being one of the top three QB’s taken in the draft this year. So far this year through 7 games Ryan has 17 Td’s and only 6 interceptions, with already having 2100 yards. If he continues to be this productive he will end the season with nearly 3,700 yards, 63% completion, 29 Td’s and 10 ints. If Ryan continues to play well and show that he is a top QB I believe that he will go in the first round and maybe even the top 10. This year there are alot of teams that are in need of a QB such as the Falcons, Vikings, Bears, Buccaneers, Panthers, Jets, Chiefs, and the Ravens. This is a huge number of teams that need a franchise Quarterback for the futture and in alot of cases sooner than later. As of now I have Ryan going to the Panthers if you are interested in more pics visit http://newnfldraft.com to see my first Mock Draft.
