Kevin’s 2014 NFL Mock Draft | 6-10

2014 NFL Mock Draft Picks 6-10 by Kevin.

6. Atlanta Falcons – Jake Matthews, T, Texas A&M

I can definitely see Greg Robinson here, too, or a pass-rusher like Khalil Mack or Anthony Barr. But Matt Ryan needs better protection, so the Falcons will get him some.

7. Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Blake Bortles, QB, UCF

Whoa, what have we here? First, I understand Bortles plummeting will sit sorely with many, but need and the Browns being the Browns could have this become the reality. Mike Glennon isn’t an NFL starter and Lovie Smith knows that, so he rights a wrong immediately.

8. Minnesota Vikings – Khalil Mack, DE/OLB, Buffalo

I still like Derek Carr here if all goes well, but Minny seems to be headed in a different direction. They could try to acquire a new quarterback via trade or they could just wait until the next round. With Jared Allen gone, though, they need to address their pass-rush.

9. Buffalo Bills – Eric Ebron, TE, North Carolina

I know Buffalo has other needs and they might even keep Scott Chandler, but Ebron is a game-changer. If E.J. Manuel is going to be the answer, he’s going to need some weapons. Ebron is exactly that.

10. Detroit Lions – Marqise Lee, WR, USC

Calvin Johnson’s new running mate. Lee is a burner who can draw defenses to the other side of the field or do damage in the slot. Corner is also a need, but Detroit can’t pass on Lee. For once, Matt Millen would be right.
