Justin’s 2016 NFL Mock Draft | 6-10

2016 NFL Mock Draft Picks 6-10 by Justin.

6Baltimore Ravens– DeForest Buckner (DE), Oregon- If Tunsil is available the ravens will see it as a sign from God to draft the next Jonathon Ogden. The glaring need at the defensive end position has them purely looking at defense currently. Buckner is one of the best run stoppers in the draft. He has shown consistent improvement every year but can his skills be trusted coming out of the Ducks system. Buckner rises up too high and allows linemen to get their hands on him and render him ineffective. If he stays low and sticks to what he does best he will fit into the Ravens defense nicely.

7. San Francisco 49ers– Ronnie Stanley (OT), Notre Dame- The 49er’s may trade away their QB by the end of this draft thus making the pick of a tackle almost humorous. Chip Kelly has an ex Super Bowl competing team that was left in shambles. He will either show he can make something out of nothing or finish his spiraling NFl coaching career. Stanley is still young and learning at the position and is a bit of a project in my mind. He has a big upside size and strength that was on display at the combine. He just is inconsistent and needs to really focus to become an elite tackle

8.  Cleveland Browns (from Philadelphia Eagles through Miami Dolphins)- Ezekiel Elliott (RB), Ohio St **Projected Trade Miami Dolphins** The Browns collected a lot of picks in passing up their possible future quarterback. The new management will feel a lot of pressure from this decision but made in my mind the right call. Now my friend Andrea may be the only true fan this team has left and I agree with her if they stay at this spot they should take one of the plethora of hometown Ohio St heroes to appease the fans. I just don’t think the Browns are set on any one person and are willing to move down again and see how the draft plays out for them. Zeke is a special type of running back. He has the size, speed, and hands that can carry a backfield on every down which is rare. A lot of teams are flirting with where to take him. Shoot even if Cleveland takes him the thought of him and RG3 is scary. The Dolphins desperately need a backfield presents. They didn’t spend all that money in free agency to be a one dimensional team. They will find a way to get an elite running back.

9. Tampa Bay Buccaneers– Jack Conklin (OT), Michigan St. – The Bucs could sure use secondary help and Hargreaves is going to be intriguing but he is starting to fall. Tampa is going to get Jameis some better protection. Conklin has a lot of experience and has proven he can handle elite rushers. He is a fighter and won’t give up on the play. His feet are a bit slow but will be a solid tackle for protection. I personally like Stanley as a project better than Conklin but we will see who grades out better.

10.  New York Giants– Myles Jack (ILB) UCLA- The Giants went on a free agent spending spree to improve their defense. What is still missing is an elite linebacker. Jack with a good knee is probably the best player in this draft. The Giants won’t be afraid to take a chance at possibly getting a future defensive captain that is smart quick and can make an impact on every play. The only knock you can put on jack is his natural body measurable and that is something easy to overlooking when watching his tape. If the Giants don’t go after Jack don’t be surprised to see them move down.
