Josh’s 2012 NFL Mock Draft | 48-64

48.       New England Patriots (from OAK) – C Peter Konz- Wisconsin

The Pats re-upped G/C Dan Connelly and signed Robert Gallery, but they have no depth as it appears Logan Mankins got hurt during the season and needs knee surgery. Connelly can slide to guard to fit Konz in and give the Pats an heir to Dan Koppen.

49.       San Diego Chargers – OG Kenechi Osemele – Iowa State

The unfortunate retirement of Kris Dielman left a hole on the offensive line.

50.       Chicago Bears – WR Chris Givens – Wake Forest

Gives the Bears a downfield burner not named Devin Hester. Keep that man in the return game.

51.      Philadelphia Eagles (from ARI) – QB Brandon Weeden – Oklahoma State

Makes sense to use this Arizona pick on a QB since its from the Kevin Kolb trade. We know Vick never makes it a full season and while the Eagles signed Trent Edwards and have Mike Kafka, selecting Weedan cannot hurt.

52.      Tennessee Titans – DE Chandler Jones – Syracuse

I think Jones is too tough to pass up on at this point. Lot of length and speed here.

53.     Cincinnati Bengals – OT Zebrie Sanders – Florida State

The depth behind Andrew Whitworth and Andre Smith is clear issue. Must be addressed.

54.     Detroit Lions – LB Bruce Irvin – West Virginia

Quick footed LB would help out run stuff specialist Stephen Tulloch.

55.     Atlanta Falcons – RB Lamar Miller – Miami

Michael Turner has been dominating the load in Atlanta. Jaquizz Rodgers is a good scatback but Miller can handle the load if/when Turner burns out.

56.     Pittsburgh Steelers – DE Jared Crick – Nebraska

Casey Hamptons heir apparent was also Ndamukong Suh’s at Nebraska.

57.      Denver Broncos – CB Jaryron Hosley – Virginia Tech

Champ Bailey is not getting any younger. Grabbing the next great Va. Tech DB in the mold of DeAngelo Hall, Brandon Flowers and Macho Harris.

58.

Houston Texans – TE Dwayne Allen – Clemson

The departed Joel Dresseen’s role will need to be filled. Why not bring a guy in who is also capable of unseating Owen Daniels

.

59.      New Orleans Saints – pick forfeited as a result of Bountygate.

60.     Green Bay Packers – CB Josh Robinson – Central Florida

Packers secondary was decimated by injuries last year, they were using undrafted guys. Now its time to use a drafted guy.

61.      Baltimore Ravens – C Ben Jones – Georgia

Matt Birk is not getting any younger and they are lacking depth at the position.

62.      San Francsico 49ers – OLB Bobby Wagner – Utah St.

Pure depth pick. Aldon Smith and Ahmad Brooks need a backup.

63.      New England Patriots – OLB Sean Spence – Miami

Rob Ninkovitch needs a friend. Patriots still need a pass rush.

64.      New York Giants – DE Vinny Curry

Giants will add to their length in this draft. Here is that pick.
