Jonathan Stewart: 2008 NFL Draft Updates

Jonathan Stewart (5’11” – 230 lbs.) is now being named with the elite running backs and if he continues his success could be the second running back taken in the draft. Stewart is still only a Junior so if he wants to he can go back to school and not enter the draft. As of now the only definite RB that is ahead of Stewart is the super star Darren McFadden. As a Freshman Stewart ran for 188 yds and 6 Td’s while adding another 45 yards and Td in the air. Sophomore year he improved his stats significantly by rushing for 981 yds and 10 Td’s. He also showed his versatility sophomore year bye bringing in 20 receptions for 144 yards and a score. This year Stewart is looking to have his best year yet. After 7 games he has 940 rushing yards and 7 Td’s. He most recently put up amazing numbers at Washington with 251 rush yards and 2 Td’s. Look for the Cowboys, Texans, Seahawks and Cardinals to be the front runners for this up and coming star running back. Look for Stewart to jump in my next Mock Draft due to his consistent success on the ground as well as in the air. To vie my first Mock draft go to http://www.newnfldraft.com
