Early Doucet: 2008 NFL Draft Updates

LSU is a powerhouse this year and they have been doing it mostly without their star receiver Early Doucet. Doucet has been injured for the last 4 weeks with what is considered to be a groin injury. Doucet is a speedy receiver from LSU weighing in at just over 200 lbs and about 6’0″ tall. Doucet has been good in previous years but not great. His freshman year he contributed with 260 yards and 2 Td’s, Sophomore year 390 yards and 5 Td’s and then his junior campaign consisted of 770 yards and 8 Td’s while playing with both Dwayne Bowe and Craig Davis two first round draft picks. LSU has shown to have good receivers in the past and now Doucet is going to be one of the top receivers this year pending his injury. The Cowboys, Bucs, Jaguars, Titans and 49ers are all looking in the direction of a receiver this year. Depending on how Doucet ends the season and how his hamstring in I have him going to the Cowboys with their Cleveland pick. For more information on my player picks go to http://newnfldraft.com
