CJ’s 2012 NFL Mock Draft | 11-21

CJ’s 2012 NFL Mock Draft Round 1 Picks 11-21

11.       Jets Via KC: Melvin Ingram, LB, S Carolina

- The Jets have shown interest in trading up for Melvin Ingram and if he is available at 11, they would be wise to jump ahead of Seattle, Arizona, Dallas and Philadelphia to secure him.

12.       Seattle Seahawks: Luke Kuechly, LB, Boston College

- Even with the re-signing of Leroy Hill and the signing of Barrett Rudd, Seattle needs a LB. Rudd’s play has declined over the last few years and I see Luke Kuechly as the next Brian Urlacher.

13.       Arizona Cardinals: Cordy Glenn, G/T, Georgia

-At the end of the day, I see a team taking a high risk/high reward pick by drafting Cordy Glenn over Riley Reiff as a left tackle. The upside is definitely there but is he a better fit at guard?.

14.       Dallas Cowboys: Mark Barron, S, Alabama

- Dallas has shown a ton of interest in Mark Barron and in my opinion he is the best player available. Barron is a hard hitting safety with very good coverage skills.

15.       Philadelphia Eagles: Dre Kirkpatrick, CB, Alabama

- With 2 or 3 teams picking behind the Eagles in need of a corner, the Eagles will likely go Dre Kirkpatrick instead of trading down, hoping to get a few extra picks and still land him.

16.       Chiefs Via Jets: David DeCastro, G, Stanford

-If the Chiefs are able to trade down and still land David DeCastro, it would be a win for them. Adding DeCastro to an offensive line that already consists of Branden Albert and Eric Winston could make for one of the better groups in the NFL.

17.       Cincinnati Bengals via OAK: Kendall Wright, WR, Baylor

- The Bengals have shown interest in Kendall Wright and pairing a him with rookie sensation A.J. Green at WR would give the Bengals a terrific passing attack.

18.       Ravens Via SD: Stephen Hill, WR, Georgia Tech

- Baltimore needs a vertical threat on their offense. Anquan Boldin is getting older and Torrey Smith looks to be better suited playing in the slot. Stephen Hill has Randy Moss potential.

19.       Chicago Bears:  Whitney Mercilus, DE, Illinois

- The Bears have a need at defensive end opposite Julius Peppers. They liked Whitney Mercilus enough to bring him in for two pre draft visits so he could be the pick.

20.       Tennessee Titans: Quinton Coples, DE, UNC

- In choosing Quinton Coples, Tennessee would be going best player available and he just so happens to fill a need. Coples could line up at DE or inside next to Jurrell Casey.

21.       Broncos Via CIN: Brock Osweiler, QB, AZ State

- Denver showed a ton of interest in Brock Osweiler during the pre draft process. Peyton Manning only has maybe 3 years left in him so Denver takes a page out of Green Bay’s book and drafts a QB to develop under their future hall of famer.
