2012 NFL Mock Draft 2 Full Rounds Updated on 04/22/2012

1.       Indianapolis Colts: Andrew Luck, QB-Stanford

Reasoning: The Colts recently released Bronco’s Quarterback Peyton Manning, they will be looking to find their new franchise Quarterback and with comparisons to John Elway how can you pass this player up?.

2.       Washington Redskins via STL: Robert Griffin III, QB, Baylor

Reasoning: The Redskins have been begging for a franchise Quarterback for practically since the franchise was made, Dan Snyder made a mounmentous trade which is The Redskins send the 6th overall pick, the 2012 second round pick, first round picks in 2013, and 2014 and judging on this player, I believe RG3 was worth every bit of trade and the redskins have finally found them a franchise QB.

3.       Minnesota Vikings: Matt Kalil, OT-USC

Reasoning: The Vikings were 5th in the league in sacks given up and now that Steve Hutchinson is a Titan and they cut Anthony Herrera, they’re going to need to protect Christian Ponder, and what better way to then get yourself a new franchise left tackle in Matt Kalil which was excellent in protecting Matt Barkley at USC.

4.       Cleveland Browns:  Trent Richardson, RB, Alabama

Reasoning: If the season was to start today the browns starting running back would be Chris Ogonnaya, which you’re probably  asking yourself who? Exactly, he started few games last year, which he was activated off the practice squad, and with Peyton Hillis off to reunite with his former coach in Kansas City, they’re going to need a new franchise running back.

5.       Tampa Bay Buccaneers:  Morris Claiborne, CB, LSU

Reasoning: Let’s just start out by saying Tampa was ranked 29th in the league in Pass defense, yes they signed Eric Wright, which is a below average corner, and they also just resigned Ronde Barber but he is 39 years old and also don’t know if Aqib Talib is going to prison or not, which he also may be suspended for the 2012 season or part of, Claiborne was a shutdown corner at LSU and a great kick returner and can make a big contribution to this teams secondary.
