Tonight both Dennis Dixon and Matt Ryan played some pretty important games for their teams future success. Dennis Dixon showed leadership and poise leading the Oregon Ducks to a 35-23 victory over the 4th ranked Arizona State team. Dennis Dixon did not only run for 57 yards but he also threw for 189 yards and 4 touchdowns. On the season Dixon now has thrown 20 touchdowns and only three interceptions. Furthermore, Dixon has also rushed for 8 touchdowns as well. If Dixon can continue to play with such leadership and patience then I cannot see him being a lock for the Heisman. I also think that he will show the NFL scouts that he is not just a running QB but is also a very patient passer as well. Look for this guy to continue dominating defenses with the help of Jonathan Stewart. Secondly, I think that Matt Ryan is a very good QB and will be successful in the NFL but he doesn’t have a good team around him. Ryan can throw a strike anytime he gets time to throw the ball, but this doesn’t happen very often. Ryan’s O-Line have been awful and his WR have been unable to make the necessary catches. Ryan seems to be lighting it up in the later parts of the games showing his composure as well. Look for Ryan to be a higher pick the NFL draft but Dixon to be higher up on the Heisman list because he has a better team.
