11. GB Packers: Brian Orakpo, DE, UT

The Packers are old and injured on the Defensive Line so I say they take Brian Orakpo here. He is a very good athlete and a great speed rushing defensive end. He is by far the best defensive end in the 2009 NFL Draft and I think he has the potential to go top 5 if he works out well at the 2009 NFL Draft Combine.

12. Houston Texans: Michael Johnson, DE, G Tech

The Texans have a pretty good Defensive line but they need one more great pass rusher. Mario Williams is looking to be a star in the league but he is starting to get double teamed more often so they need someone to counter this. Johnson isn’t the biggest DE but with his speed he can make up for it and get to the QB. The Texans also could look towards secondary and offensive line for the 2009 NFL season.

13. Buffalo Bills: Aaron Curry, OLB/DE, WF

The Bills started strong and then they fell off the table when they started to play some competition. One of their biggest problems this year has been the defensive ends and pass rushing. If they can get Curry who is a very good athlete the pressure he could put on the QB would help the secondary as well. The Bills could also go after a center or a true Defensive end with this pick as well for the 2009 NFL Draft.

14 . Chicago Bears: Darius Heyward-Bey, WR, MD

This may be a little high for Bey to go but he is probably the 2nd best WR in the 2009 NFL Draft. I thought about Maclin for this pick but they already have a great speed receiver/returner in Hester. The Bears however can get a big WR in Bey who is both big and a good receiver. Look for the Bears to also make their team younger on the defensive side of the ball as well.

15. New Orleans Saints: Everette Brown, DE, FSU

Brown is a great Defensive End and he actually may be the best end in the country. They are considering Brown to be a rush LB/DE in the NFL to help with the New Orleans Saints pass rushing. If Brown works out well at the 2009 NFL Draft Combine then he actually could be the top defensive end taken in the 2009 NFL Draft. Until then I have them falling in the 15-20 range of the 2009 NFL Draft.

16. Philadelphia Eagles: William Moore,S, Mizzou

William Moore is considered one of the best prospects for the 2009 NFL Draft. He is a great Safety with a very good college program. I know he actually may dropped a little bit but depending on how many juniors declare for the 2009 NFL Draft this could change a lot. The Eagles could use a great play maker at safety that would help them immediately. Another way they could go with this pick would be getting younger on the offensive line as well as getting a good short yardage RB.

17. Miami Dolphins: Vontae Davis, CB, ILL

Davis has had some questions about him and he even got benched this year…. but I think his athleticism still gets him in the first round. He is a great corner and athletically might be the best one in the 2009 NFL Draft. The Dolphins are a much improved team but they could still use a lot of help to get them to the next level. Look for Parcels to be the decision maker here and improve the team greatly for the 2009 NFL Season.

18. NE Patriots: D.j. Moore, CB, Vandy

The Patriots secondary has been second tier this year and they need to improve it in the off season. I don’t know if they are going to do it in the draft or in free agency but they need to fix their secondary. D J Moore is a great CB that would be a good fit with the Patriots and the Hoodie to succeed. The Patriots are a good team and they will be even better with an improved secondary and Brady back and healthy. They could also get another LB here to pair up with Mayo and get rid of all the 40 year olds they have.

19. Redskins Clint Sintim, OLB, VA

The Skins have been hot and cold so far this season. I believe that if they get a great athlete like Sintim in the draft he will improve their team greatly for the 2009 NFL Season. Sintim was a great LB at Virginia and I think it will translate to the pros very well.

20. Denver Broncos: Knowshon Moreno, RB, Georgia

The Broncos have had injuries at the RB position this year and even their FB who was doing well got injured. I think they might continue to run Hillis next year because he is a powerful short yardage back. However, they do not have a proven RB to carry the load and be a change of pace back. Moreno can run inside and outside and he has the top tier speed that Hillis won’t be able to provide. Look for Moreno to make an immediate impact and he may even go higher then this depending on how he performs in the 2009 NFL Draft.

21. Cardinals James Laurinaitis, ILB, Ohio St

I know you Ohio State fans think he should go higher then this but I think that Laurinaitis is a good inside LB but doesn’t move as well as a lot of the other ILB in the 2009 NFL Draft. The Cardinals need someone to anchor their run defense and Laurinaitis has been able to do that for Ohio St and I think he will be a good run stopper in the NFL.

The 2008 NFL playoff game with the Jaguars vs. the Patriots is going to be a battle inside. I have wrote how I believe the Jaguars can potentially beat the Patriots in this article.

//--> In the few close games that the Patriots had this year there were a few things that were key. First of all in order to beat the Patriots you need to stop Randy Moss which means put a safety over the top always and give him the short catch from 3-5 yards. Secondly in order to do this effectively pressure needs to be put on Tom Brady to force him to either tuck it or throw it away. The only teams that have been close with the Pats forced them to make mistakes by pressuring them.

Secondly the offense is another story. Garrard looked pretty good this past week and he showed that he is a very mobile QB. However the Jaguars are going to need more than Garrard but both Fred Taylor and Maurice Jones-Drew to have good games. The entirety of the Jaguars offense is their run game and if they have trouble getting this going then they are in trouble. Lastly, if they get behind and have to throw the ball they don’t have a chance because their receivers are sub-par to say the least. Look for the Jags only chance to be them getting on top early and pressuring Brady early and often.
