Round 1 – Round 2 – Round 3 – Round 4 – Round 5
76. Houston Texans Domonique Johnson, CB, Jack St.
The Texans have been pretty hot to end the season beating a good Titans team late in the season. They could be in the 2009 NFL Season if they improve their secondary. This pick in my 2009 NFL Mock Draft is designed to do just that.
77. Buffalo Bills Travis Beckum, TE, Wiconsin
I know Beckum could definitely go higher then this but he had a pretty big injury this year which could slow him down and drop him down the Draft charts. I think Beckum might be the second best receiving TE to Gresham in the 2009 NFL Draft. Fine has been ok for the Bills this year but they need a better play maker and Beckum is just that.
78. Chicago Bears Andy Kemp, G, Wiscon
They got a good RB in the 2008 NFL Draft so they help him out but adding depth to the offensive line for the 2009 NFL Season.
79. NO Saints Marcus Freeman, LB, Ohio St.
The Saints have one of the highest scoring offenses in the 2008 season but they cannot stop anyone on defense. This is why I have them taking a good LB from a very good College Football program.
80. Philadelphia Eagles Shonn Green, RB, Iowa
Once again here is a player that could go much much higher in the 2009 NFL Draft. The Eagles however would love for him to fall to them here because they really need a good short yardage back to complement the awesome Brian Westbrook. Maybe he could take some of the hard carries so Westbrook wont be injured as much in the 2009 season.
81. Miami Dolphins Trevor Canfield, G, Cincy
You can never take or have enough big guys up front so I have the Dolphins taking a big G to block for their talented RB’s.
82. NE Patriots Jason Watkins, OT, FL
The Patriots are getting older and older at nearly every position and Tackle is one of them. You all saw how the Giants hammered Tom Brady over and over in the Super Bowl last year. So the Patriots take some for a year or two down the road.
83. Washington Redskins Ron Brace, NT, BC
The Skins were good and then not as good so I have them taking a player inside to help them stop the run in the 2009 NFL Season.
84. Denver Broncos Antoine Caldwell, C, Bama
The Broncos haven’t run the ball as well this year so they upgrade the offensive line with this pick. They have a ton of potential they just need a good RB and they need to hold their blocks up front.
85. Arizona Cardinals Darius Butler, CB, UCONN
The Cardinals are not known for their defense and that is why I have them adding depth to it with this pick.
