2009 NFL Mock Draft Round 3

December 22nd, 2008 · No Comments

Round 1Round 2 – - Round 4Round 5

65. Detroit Lions: Derrick Williams, WR, PSU

The Lions get a great Play Maker for the 2009 NFL Season in Derrick Williams. This may be a little low for him to go but the Lions would be happy to have him.

66. Cincinnati Bengals: Mark Parson, CB, Ohio

The Bengals look to build one of their worst positions in the 2009 NFL Draft with this pick. Parson is a great athlete that could develop into a great starter.

67. KC Chiefs: Graham Harrell, QB, TTU

The Chiefs have Thigpen I just don’t see him as the long term solution for them. Harrell is considered a system QB but he has a quick release, throws over the top, good frame and great pocket presence. I think that a year down the road or so he could be a great NFL Player.

68. St. Louis Rams: Keenan Lewis, CB, OSU

The Rams just take the best player available because they need a lot of players to get this team turned around.

69. Seattle Seahawks: Max Unger, C, Oregon

Seattle builds the big men up front with this pick to help their run game for the 2009 NFL Season.

70. Oakland Raiders: DeAngelo Smith, CB, Cincy

The Raiders look for someone to play opposite their Pro Bowl corner.

71. San Fran 49ers: Sam Young, OT, ND

They have a great RB but they don’t have great big guys to block for him. Young is underrated because he was with a bad program so I think he will come in and at least get a shot to start in the 2009 NFL Season.

72. San Diego Chargers: Andy Levitre, G, OSU

The Chargers are get older up front as well as in the backfield.  LT isn’t going to be able to do it all himself anymore so they build the line with a great prospect from a very good football program.

73. Jacksonville Jaguars: Clay Mathews, OLB, USC

The Jags are going to look to turn their team around after a poor 2008 showing. Look for them to be pretty good because they have the talent.

74. Dallas Cowboys(Browns): Patrick Chung, SS, Oregon

The Cowboys need someone to replace the defensive Roy Williams because he is considered to be the worst cover safety in the NFL. They can bump him up to LB or just get rid of him and hopefully Chung can come in and make plays.

75. GB Packers: Fili Moala, DE/DT, USC

The Packers get a very diverse player here who can play both inside and outside at the next level. He would be a good run stuffing end and pass rushing tackle in the NFL. This is exactly what the packers need after a sub par 2008 season.
