2009 NFL Mock Draft Picks 44-53

 Round 1Round 3Round 4

44. Denver Broncos: Vince Oghobaase, DT, Duke

The Broncos have been an offensive Juggernaut but their defense has been very bad. For the Most part it is their secondary but they also need to help stop the run so they can focus on the pass in the 2009 Season.

45. Miami Dolphins: Chase Coffman, TE, Mizzou

The Dolphins have an ok TE right now but Coffman is a great upgrade. He is a receiving TE that could be a great release and Red Zone threat for Pennington. Also he could also take advantage of a slower LB for the deep ball like he does with Chase Daniel now.

46. GB Packers: Mike Mickens, CB, Cincy

The Packers CB are getting older and older.  They have not been able to stay healthy this year and it has turned into a weakness. If they are going to be great in 2009 they need to build this position and Mickens helps them do this.

47. Indianapolis Colts: Brandon LaFell, WR, LSU

Marvin Harrison is getting older and they need to replace him some time in the next couple years. I think that if they find someone they like they may go get them to help replace Harrison and make their offensive better for the 2009 season.

48. Giants (From Saints): Geno Atkins, DT, Georgia

The G-Men have looked great so I just have them solidifying their interior D-Line with this pick in the 2009 NFL Draft. I am not sure what they need but I think Coughlin will make the right decision in the 2009 NFL Draft.

49. Minnesota Vikings: Kenny Britt, WR, Rutgers

The Vikings don’t have a go to target at WR so I have them drafting one here to get them younger at WR and maybe get them a go to guy.  The 2009 NFL Draft is a very important one for the Vikings because they could turn into a great team in 2009 or just stay mediocre.

50. Dallas Cowboys: Michael Hamlin, SS, Clemson

The Boys need to do something about Roy Williams coverage skills.  I think they should bulk him up and move him down to an outside linebacker.  Hamlin is a powerful strong safety who already has better coverage skills than Williams. They need to get some leaders and Hamlin could quite possibly be a good defensive leader in the near future.

51. Buffalo Bills: Kevin Barner, CB, MD

The Bills two biggest problems this year has been their secondary and their O-Line. So I address each one of them with my first two picks in this 2009 NFL Mock Draft.

52. NY Jets: Marcus Freeman, OLB, Ohio State

The Jets add another Ohio State outside LB in the 2009 NFL Mock Draft with this pick. They need more athletes on defense and that is exactly what Freeman brings to the mix.

53. Patriots: Tyson Jackson, DE, LSU

With this pick I have the Patriots taking a more solid Defensive end that will most likely play in a three point stance. Unlike George Selvie he is a better run defender but not quite as explosive off the end.
