2011 NFL Mock Draft Round 2

33. New England (CAR): Derek Sherrod, OT, Miss St. (#5 OT- 2011 NFL Mock Draft Rank)

The Patriots are a good team and they are built around their pass game. I think they need to get younger on the O line to help protect their aging QB. I think Barksdale is a good fit and will be a good value with this pick in the 2011 NFL Mock Draft.

34. Buffalo Bills: Brandon Harris, CB, Miami (#4 CB- 2011 NFL Mock Draft Rank)

The Buffalo Bills do not have a QB of the future on their current roster but I have them taking Cam Newton in the first round of this 2011 NFL Mock Draft. So this pick should probably be Offensive Tackle but I don’t see an offensive tackle good enough to go this high in the 2011 NFL Mock Draft. However, Brandon Harris was a good college player and he is a borderline first round pick in the 2011 NFL Draft. So I have the Bills taking a good CB with this pick to pair up with Mckelvin.

35. Cincinnati Bengals: Colin Kaepernick, QB, Nevada (#5 QB- 2011 NFL Mock Draft Rank)

The Bengals get a very good QB prospect in this 2011 NFL Mock draft. The Bengals get a good QB out of Nevada who is a good athlete as well as a very intriguing player.

36. Denver Broncos: Joseph Barksdale, OT, LSU (#6 OT- 2011 NFL Mock Draft Rank)

I have the Broncos taking a good powerful Offensive lineman than most people see him. He is not a left tackle but he has the ability to play right tackle or Guard in the NFL.

37. Cleveland Browns: Allen Bailey, DE/DT, Miami (#7 DT- 2011 NFL Mock Draft Rank)

The Browns get a top tier defensive player with this pick in the 2011 NFL Mock Draft. Bailey had a rough Senior bowl so he fell out of the first round of my 2011 NFL Mock Draft. I have Bailey still as a good prospect and have him filling in with the Browns and helping out their defensive line.

38. Arizona Cardinals: Jerelle Powe, DT/NT, Ole Miss (#8 DT- 2011 NFL Mock Draft Rank)

The Cardinals need a QB of the future. I have them selecting Gabbert in this first round of this 2011 NFL Mock Draft and taking Martez Wilson the top ILB in this NFL Mock Draft.

39. Tennessee Titans: Jake Locker, QB, Washington  (#3 QB- 2011 NFL Mock Draft Rank)

The Titans have a pretty good offensive line and a pretty good defense. You can never have too many defensive lineman to be good in the NFL. However, with this pick Jake Locker falls to them in the 2nd round of this 2011 NFL Mock Draft so they get him.

40. Dallas Cowboys: Demarcus Love, OT, Arkansas (#7 OT- 2011 NFL Mock Draft Rank)

Tony Romo got injured this year and Jon Kitna played. Kitna is getting old and Romo hasn’t proven anyone that he can be a winner and keep winning. So I think QB would be an option with this pick in the 2011 NFL Draft. However, with this pick I have them improving their offensive line with a good OT Run blocking Offensive Tackle.

41. Washington Redskins: Ryan Mallett, QB, Arkansas(#6 QB- 2011 NFL Mock Draft Rank)

The Redskins have had problems at running back in the 2010 season. The Redskins could use a QB of the future. Christian Ponder had a good 2011 NFL Scouting Combine and I now have him going in the first round of this 2011 NFL Mock Draft. Mallett has first round talent but due to character issues and work ethic he falls a little bit.

42. Houston Texans: Phil Taylor, DT, Baylor (# DT- 2011 NFL Mock Draft Rank)

The Houston Texans get a very good defensive tackle early in the second round. He is considered by a lot of people to be the top rated Nose Tackle in the 2011 NFL Draft.
