2008 NFL Combine News

The 2008 NFL Combine starts on February 20 and goes until February 26.  The combine is usually a big make or breaker for players  because it shows every aspect of their game. On this page I will be continually updating you with information on the combine such as times and news.  Look for this combine to be very important and move some people out of the first round and slide some others in.  The Combine is soon so check back here soon for more news! 

 

Day 1 of the NFL Combine

Players Heights and Weights:

Branden Albert was the first person to weigh in and get interviewed at the Combine.  Branden Albert interviewed well and weighed in at 309 lbs. and 6’5" 1/2.  Look for Branden Albert to be the first guard taken in the 2008 NFL Draft.

Robert Felton the offensive Guard out of Arkansas was 6′ 3" and 315 lbs. Felton was very upbeat in his interview and believes his biggest strengths to be his speed and footwork.

Jake Long was the highest rated player to get measured and he was 6’7" and 313 lbs. Long talked about his  experience in his senior year and how it helped him better prepare for the NFL

Fred Davis the top Tight End out of USC is only going to be doing the bench press because of an injury that he got at the senior bowl.  He will run later most likely at USC’s draft day.

Martin Rucker the Tight End out of Missouri has tweaked his hamstring and will not be participating in any of the workouts.

Ryan Clady one of the top rated OT from Boise St. measured in at 6’6" and 309 lbs.  He said because he has played both RT and LT in college that he is more experienced for the NFL.
